Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo has given an update on his fighting future. ‘Junior’ returned to the octagon earlier this month in the co-main event of UFC 301 in Brazil. The bout was Jose Aldo’s first since retiring in the summer of 2022. After a loss to Merab Dvalishvili, the former champion decided to venture into the sport of boxing, with the blessing of Dana White and other company brass.

Don’t expect to see Colby Covington fight Ian Garry this summer in the co-main event of UFC 303. ‘Chaos’ has been out of the octagon since yet another shot at welterweight gold in the main event of UFC 296 in December. Sadly for the former interim champion, he was soundly defeated by Leon Edwards. Colby Covington suffered a unanimous decision defeat to ‘Rocky’ late last year, but he didn’t have plans on retiring.

Colby Covington has apparently moved on from a fight with Ian Garry in favor of a potential welterweight newcomer. Covington is looking to get back on track after a loss to UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards in December at UFC 296. During his promotional tenure, he has lost three lineal UFC title fights, including two previous matchups with Kamaru Usman.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski has booked his 42nd Octagon appearance for UFC 303. Arlovski (34-23 MMA) made his promotional debut way back in November of 2000 at UFC 28. It was in 2005 that Arlovski earned the title of UFC heavyweight champion by defeating Tim Sylvia (31-10 MMA) at UFC 51.

UFC CEO Dana White is saying he’s open to fighters making crossover appearances in WWE. It was back in April of last year that the WWE and Endeavor reached a deal which would see the WWE merge with UFC’s parent company Zuffa to form a new company called ‘TKO’.

Bryce Mitchell has responded to Sean Woodson’s callout at UFC St. Louis. Woodson took on Alex Caceres on the main card of this past Saturday’s Fight Night event. The bout went the distance and “The Sniper” was awarded the unanimous decision win. After the fight, Woodson called for a clash with Mitchell (h/t MMAJunkie).

UFC CEO Dana White has plans to start moving Fight Night cards away from the Apex. This past Saturday, the UFC made the trip to St. Louis for a show inside the Enterprise Center. It was a refreshing experience for fans, as Fight Night cards have typically been held inside the UFC Apex. as of late Almost 16,000 fans packed the arena and the announced gate was $2.47 million.

Ben Askren isn’t a fan of the talk of Jon Jones fighting Alex Pereira before he mixes it up with Tom Aspinall. Jones is the UFC Heavyweight Champion, but he hasn’t made a title defense yet despite winning the gold back in March 2023. “Bones” was scheduled to put the championship on the line against Stipe Miocic back in November 2023, but an injury derailed that plan. Tom Aspinall ended up winning the interim heavyweight gold by knocking out Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 295.

Chase Hooper knows he will have to get Viacheslav Borshchev to the ground if he is going to get his hand raised at UFC St. Louis. Hooper is set for his third fight at lightweight as he’s 2-0 and coming off a submission win over Jordan Leavitt back in November. After the win, he was hoping to get a quick turnaround, but that didn’t happen.

Diego Ferreira will end his nearly year-long layoff at UFC St. Louis when he takes on Mateusz Rebecki. Ferreira hasn’t fought since May 20th of last year when he knocked out Michael Johnson. After the fight, Ferreira welcomed a baby girl into the world and also had to focus on his gym which kept him out of action.

Hamm, also known as Mr. Adventure on social media with over two million Instagram followers, had his boxing debut in January on the Misfits card. He scored a quick knockout win, and although he’s only been boxing for six months, Hamm says being part of the influencer boxing was something he had been interested in.

Alex Morono, the head coach of Ricky Turcios says the UFC took care of the bantamweight after his canceled fight against Raul Rosas Jr. at UFC Mexico City. Just minutes before Turcios was set to make the walk, it was revealed Rosas Jr. was sick and the fight was off. It was disappointing news for Morono and Turcios, who liked the style matchup against the 19-year-old.

Kyle Nelson has won his third straight fight as the betting underdog. Nelson scored a first-round TKO win over Bill Algeo on the main card of UFC Atlantic City. The Canadian started strong as he landed a massive shot that wobbled Algeo and he kept landing punches that forced the ref to jump in and stop the fight.
