Highlights of his resume include a light heavyweight title win in 2004, multiple title challenges, and victories over stars like Luke Rockhold, Dan Henderson, and Michael Bisping.

William Scull has turned some heads, not just with the lack of action in his undisputed super middleweight title fight with Canelo Alvarez, but with his post-fight comments. Scull was the IBF titleholder going into his clash with Alvarez this past Saturday. Many didn’t know what to expect from the matchup other than a likely win for Alvarez, but fans were left feeling their low expectations weren’t even met. Alvarez vs. Scull lacked significant action for 12 rounds, and Alvarez won the fight via unanimous decision.

While he admitted that the UFC is solid as a brand, he has clearly soured on the promotion’s product of late.

Jake Paul doesn’t see an issue with his upcoming boxing match against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on June 28. Paul announced he’ll take on Chavez Jr.’s who’s a former WBC middleweight champion. However, he’s 39 and has rarely boxed, as he last fought in July of 2024, but before that was in 2021.

If Logan Paul ever competes in the UFC, he will do so with the confidence of Octagon announcer Bruce Buffer. Paul, 30, got his start as a social media influencer. However, he has some experience in high school wrestling. He has also competed in boxing quite extensively, most notably going eight rounds in a 2021 exhibition with undefeated legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. He also dominated BJJ specialist Dillon Danis in a 2023 exhibition, ultimately winning by disqualification due to his opponent’s unsportsmanlike conduct. While that’s the extent of his combat sports experience, he is also one of the biggest stars on the WWE roster right now.

Former WWE United States Champion Logan Paul has revealed what his biggest mistake was in terms of his boxing career. Paul dabbled into the world of boxing with an exhibition against Hall of Famer Floyd Mayweather. He also fought popular social media influencer KSI twice. While “The Maverick” didn’t have the same success in boxing that his brother Jake Paul has, Logan transitioned into becoming a top WWE superstar.

Former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder is down for a meeting with Francis Ngannou in the boxing ring. ‘The Bronze Bomber’ hasn’t been seen in action since his clash with Zhilei Zhang last summer in Saudi Arabia. The bout was a must-win for Deontay Wilder, as he entered the bout having suffered three losses in his last four bouts. However, ‘Big Bang’ wound up dominating the former champion. In round five, Zhang landed a thudding right hand to put Wilder down for good. Post-fight, many called for the heavyweight to retire.

Mike Perry is currently in talks for an April fight with Dillon Danis in Misfits MMA. ‘El Jefe’ was set to return to the boxing ring earlier this month under the Misfits Boxing banner. Dillon Danis hasn’t been seen in action since his loss to Logan Paul in late 2023, but he accepted a short-notice bout against KSI. ‘The Nightmare’ was initially set to face footballer Wayne Bridge, but the bout was canceled after the 44-year-old withdrew. For his part, KSI withdrew from the bout earlier this month due to illness.

Canelo Alvarez’s fight later this year looks set to go head to head with Noche UFC, which will take place on the same night. As we know, Canelo Alvarez is one of the biggest stars in combat sports. He has served as a household name in the world of professional boxing for the longest time, and that’ll continue to be the case for as long as he decides to compete. He has fought the best of the best, losing to only Floyd Mayweather and Dmitry Bivol throughout the course of his illustrious career. Later this year, the expectation is that he will take on perhaps his biggest challenge yet: Terence Crawford.

Boxing champion Terence Crawford and ex-UFC champion Kamaru Usman recently debated fighter pay. Ever since the UFC began growing in popularity, there have been discussions about fighter pay. While some have attempted to form a union, every effort has ended in failure. Save for a few stars such as Conor McGregor or Jon Jones, most fighters struggle to get big paydays. Some, including Kamaru Usman, have argued that the sport pays better on average than boxing. However, boxers obviously get paid more at the top level.

Paul has been known to draw attention to himself and his business ventures. “The Problem Child” will claim he can defeat the likes of Joshua and Canelo Alvarez, yet will only fight the likes of a 58-year-old Mike Tyson and aging MMA fighters. Many believe it’s a sound strategy from Paul, who has been building MVP Promotions. Paul’s name recognition has allowed him to sign renowned female champions to his company.

Dana White didn’t respond to Logan Paul’s offer to fight in the UFC. ‘The Maverick’ hasn’t been seen in action since his boxing match with Dillon Danis in October 2023. That night saw Logan Paul largely dominate ‘El Jefe’, ultimately earning a disqualification win in the sixth round after a failed takedown from the grappler. Following that win, the YouTuber-turned-fighter announced his “retirement” from boxing. However, that doesn’t mean that Paul is done competing.
