Former Boxing star Adrien Broner was at the center of one of Jon Jones’ latest controversial moments outside of the Octagon since retiring. Former two-division UFC champion Jon Jones’ exclusion from the upcoming White House card led to bitter animosity between him and UFC CEO Dana White. Jones recently asked for his release from the UFC after contract negotiations fell apart for a fight at the White House, but as of this writing, his request has yet to be fulfilled by the promotion.

Cormier and Jones had some bad blood during the prime of their pro MMA careers. The two hurled personal digs at one another, and “DC” has admitted that the rivalry got him out of character. Both men have retired from pro MMA competition, although “Bones” has been flirting with a return if he can get out of his UFC deal.

It’ll be Ngannou’s first MMA bout since he starched Renan Ferreira back in Oct. 2024.

According to Jones, White and the matchmakers ‘lowballed’ him in contract negotiations to fight at UFC Freedom 250, and he was asking for more than $15 million to fight the likes of Alex Pereira or Tom Aspinall.
