Former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz has weighed in on Urijah Faber’s planned comeback. ‘The California Kid’ hasn’t been in the cage in over five years now. Urijah Faber last appeared in action at UFC 245 in December 2019, in a fight against future champion Petr Yan. Sadly for the former WEC titleholder, he was dominated by ‘No Mercy’ en route to a third-round knockout loss. The defeat was his first, since coming out of retirement in 2018.

UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad has no interest in facing Leon Edwards again. ‘Rocky’ recently signed a deal to return to the octagon in March. In the main event of UFC London, Leon Edwards will meet the rising Sean Brady. Ahead of the bout, the former welterweight champion has stated his belief that he can earn a title shot with a win. The fight against Brady will be the Brit’s first, since losing his gold to Belal Muhammad last summer.

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Julianna Pena doesn’t care about the odds ahead of her fight against Kayla Harrison. ‘The Venezuelan Vixen’ has been out of the cage since her title fight against Raquel Pennington last October. In the co-main event of UFC 307, Julianna Pena ended a two-year layoff to hand ‘Rocky’ a split-decision loss. In the process, she re-won the same gold she lost to Amanda Nunes in their rematch.

Some believe former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey could be making a comeback. ‘Rowdy’ hasn’t been seen in the octagon in almost a decade now. Ronda Rousey last appeared in the cage in the main event of UFC 207 in December 2016, in her comeback fight against Amanda Nunes. The former women’s bantamweight champion famously went on a hiatus following a knockout loss to Holly Holm the year previous.

One future UFC Hall of Famer doesn’t want to see Magomed Ankalaev strike with Alex Pereira. Ankalaev will challenge “Poatan” for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. The big talking point going into the UFC 313 main event on March 8 is whether or not Pereira can thwart the takedowns of his next challenger. Ankalaev is well-rounded, but it’s his grappling that many believe will be a stern test for Pereira.

As we know, Magomed Ankalaev is set to challenge Alex Pereira for the UFC light heavyweight championship on Saturday night. It will serve as the biggest fight of his career, and the second title shot he’s received in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Some are counting him out, whereas others believe this is the moment for him to finally ascend to the top of the division.

While the scoring was solid, many questioned the fact that the referee didn’t rule Gervonta’s intentional knee as a knockdown in the ninth round.

Former interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson has opened up on the end of his UFC tenure. ‘El Cucuy’ last appeared in the cage at UFC Abu Dhabi in August against Michael Chiesa. Leading into the event, Tony Ferguson had suffered seven straight losses, several of which were lopsided. Due to the losing streak, Dana White declared that the former champion’s bout against Chiesa would be his last in the company regardless of the result.

Boxing coach Malik Scott has weighed in on Francis Ngannou vs. Deontay Wilder. ‘The Predator’ recently came out and discussed a return to the boxing ring. Last appearing in the cage last October in his knockout win over Renan Ferreira, Francis Ngannou has publicly called for a clash with Deontay Wilder. ‘The Bronze Bomber’ is coming off lopsided losses to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang, but is still considered one of the hardest punchers alive.

Former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson nearly signed a deal to face KSI in the boxing ring. ‘El Cucuy’ hasn’t been seen in action since his clash with Michael Chiesa last August at UFC Abu Dhabi. Heading into the matchup, Tony Ferguson was riding a seven-fight losing streak, leading Dana White to say the bout would be his last in the promotion. Sadly for the former interim champion, he was submitted by ‘The Maverick’ last year.
