Former heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury has rejected the idea of making a comeback in the sport. In the wake of his second straight defeat at the hands of Oleksandr Usyk, Tyson Fury revealed that he would be walking away from the sport of professional boxing. He announced his retirement in a short video and while many people felt as if he would eventually break it, that hasn’t proven to be the case thus far. Of course, this is combat sports we’re talking about here, and retiring has proven to be a temporary decision for many great fighters over the years.

As we know, Jake Paul is a pretty controversial figure within the world of professional boxing. After his most recent win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., he called out several boxers, including Anthony Joshua. Now, Turki Alalshikh claims he has a deal done for Joshua to box Paul next time out.

Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn has revealed that Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul could legitimately happen. If there’s one thing we know to be true, it’s that Jake Paul is one hell of a promoter. While you may not like what he’s done in boxing thus far, especially in terms of his own career, he knows how to bring eyes to the product. ‘The Problem Child’ has been involved in several high profile bouts, most notably against Mike Tyson, with the fight being broadcast worldwide on Netflix.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. has been arrested by ICE as he faces deportation back to Mexico. Chavez Jr. made his return to the boxing ring on Saturday against Jake Paul, losing a clear-cut decision. Days after the loss, it was announced that the Mexican was arrested by Homeland Security and is facing deportation for criminal illegal activity.

Things got testy between Alvarez and Crawford during the second pre-fight press conference for their Sept. 13 boxing title fight. During the faceoff between undisputed super middleweight champion Alvarez and the No. 1 pound-for-pound boxer Crawford, there was some shoving. Alvarez pushed Crawford away, as “Bud” kept moving forward.

Ahead of time, Till promised “violence” in the ring. While he has had a few tepid performances in his career, this one lived up to his promises. Till failed to get a finish, but he came close — twice — before settling for a unanimous decision win.

It’s an intriguing matchup and a fight that they both say is a long time coming. Although Chavez Jr. has much more experience than Paul, the brash YouTuber-turned-boxer is confident he won’t just beat the Mexican but will make him quit.
