Gaethje was last seen inside the Octagon at UFC 300 against Max Holloway. “The Highlight” was brutally knocked out in the final second of the fight. It was one of the most fascinating endings to a bout in MMA history.

Brandon Royval feels it’s time that he gets another crack at UFC gold. Royval shared the Octagon with Tatsuro Taira in the main event of UFC Vegas 98.  The pivotal flyweight matchup went the distance. Two of the three judges scored the fight for Royval, awarding him the split decision victory.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Fabrício Werdum is the latest big-name former fighter to share extensive brain damage testimony in the Le vs. Zuffa UFC lawsuit. Werdum, former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida, and others have provided testimonies in the ongoing Le vs. Zuffa lawsuit. The new settlement in the lawsuit is $375 million; with fighters accusing Zuffa and the UFC of violating anti-trust laws related to fighter pay and anticompetitive tactics.

UFC middleweights Roman Dolidze and Kevin Holland allegedly got into it backstage about an hour after their clash at UFC 307. Dolidze defeated Holland by TKO (corner stoppage) on the UFC 307 main card last weekend in Salt Lake City. Holland suffered an abdominal injury just minutes into the fight, which ultimately led to his team throwing in the towel after Round 1’s conclusion.

The head coach of former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou believes the PFL has overlooked one of the biggest aspects of his return to the cage. Ngannou will face 2023 PFL heavyweight champion Renan Ferreira in a pay-per-view main event on October 19th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. After almost three full years away from MMA, Ngannou will make his long-awaited return to debut in the PFL SmartCage.

UFC welterweight contender Joaquin Buckley was taken aback by Kamaru Usman’s nonchalant response to his fight callout at UFC 307. Buckley knocked out Stephen Thompson at UFC 307 last weekend in Salt Lake City. Since making the full-time move to welterweight, Buckley’s on a roll, with five consecutive victories in the Octagon.

It appears that former UFC champion Conor McGregor is again teasing a boxing match with KSI. ‘The Notorious’ hasn’t appeared in the octagon in over three years. Conor McGregor last fought in July 2021, suffering a broken leg in his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier. While the Irishman was set to return to the cage in June against Michael Chandler, he pulled out due to a broken toe. As of now, he’s yet to book his return.

Eddie Hearn has no interest in the upcoming Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing match. ‘The Problem Child’ and ‘Iron Mike’ are set to collide next month at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. The bout was originally slated to go down on July 20th but was postponed due to Mike Tyson suffering from health issues. As a result, Jake Paul handed short-notice replacement Mike Perry a sixth-round knockout loss earlier this summer.
