UFC star Rose Namajunas has posted a picture of the broken finger she suffered at UFC Paris last weekend. On Saturday night, Rose Namajunas made her flyweight debut as she began her pursuit of a second world title in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Unfortunately, she fell to a unanimous decision loss at the hands of Manon Fiorot, with one of the biggest problems during the bout being a broken finger she suffered in the first round. Despite the injury, her corner insisted that she should continue, and she did.

UFC president Dana White has seemingly used a quote from Rose Namajunas to make a point about Aljamain Sterling and Merab Dvalishvili. When Dana White is annoyed about something, the rest of the world tends to know about it. The UFC boss has never been one to bite his tongue, and we can’t imagine that’ll change anytime soon.

Former two-weight UFC champion Henry Cejudo has taken a shot at Merab Dvalishvili over the number one contender spot at bantamweight. The future of the UFC bantamweight championship is somewhat unclear. While we know that Sean O’Malley is the champion after his TKO win over Aljamain Sterling, nobody knows who his next challenger will be. Some want it to be Sterling again in a rematch, others have suggested Merab Dvalishvili, and O’Malley himself has requested former foe Marlon Vera.

Ian Machado Garry won’t deny being inspired by fellow Irishman Conor McGregor. Garry and McGregor recently had a sparring session inside the Crumlin Boxing Club. Many have drawn comparisons between the two fighters in terms of marketability. While it’s too early to tell if Garry can rise to the top, he certainly isn’t lacking confidence, much like the “Notorious” one.

Ciryl Gane has responded to Tom Aspinall following UFC Paris. Gane had a successful outing against Serghei Spivac in the main event of the card on September 2. Gane won the fight in the second round via TKO. One fighter who was paying attention to the action was Aspinall, who has called for a fight against “Bon Gamin.” The former interim UFC heavyweight titleholder has responded.

Manon Fiorot believes she’s due for a title shot following her UFC Paris victory over Rose Namajunas. Fiorot and Namajunas shared the Octagon inside Accor Arena in Paris, France on September 2. The bout went the distance and Fiorot was awarded the unanimous decision victory. Most agree that at this point, Fiorot and Erin Blanchfield are the two names to look at for the winner of Alexa Grasso vs. Valentina Shevchenko 2.

The Octagon returned to France for today’s UFC Paris event, an eleven-bout fight card headlined by Ciryl Gane vs. Serghei Spivac. The highly anticipated heavyweight main event proved to be a one-sided affair. Ciryl Gane was able to keep the fight standing, this despite Serghei Spivac’s best efforts to get the contest to the ground. ‘Bon Gamin’ peppered ‘The Polar Bear’ with punches throughout the fight and wound up cruising to a second-round TKO victory following a wicked final flurry of punches.

Gane (11-2 MMA) was returning to action for the first time since suffering a first-round submission loss to Jon Jones in a fight for the vacant heavyweight title at UFC 285. Prior to that setback, ‘Bon Gamin’ had earned a third-round knockout win over Tai Tuivasa in September of 2022.

Marlon Vera is explaining how Aljamain Sterling ‘f**ked up’ in his title loss to Sean O’Malley at UFC 292. It was on Saturday, August 19th at UFC 292 that bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling (23-4 MMA) took on Sean O’Malley (17-1 MMA) in the main even at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The outcome was a second-round TKO victory for the 28-year-old O’Malley, who in the process stripped ‘Funk Master’ of the crown, becoming the new champion.

Israel Adesanya still plans on whooping the ass of ‘disappointing’ Dricus Du Plessis in South Africa. The rivalry between the two middleweights intensified when Du Plessis made claims to take the title back to Africa as ‘the African fighter in the UFC’  as he still lives and trains there, whereas Adesanya while born in Nigeria, currently resides in New Zealand. Du Plessis’s words and claims put him at the top of Adesanya’s hit list.

Earlier this month, Sean O’Malley defeated Aljamain Sterling to become the new UFC bantamweight champion. In doing so, he cemented his status as one of the biggest names in mixed martial arts – and combat sports as a whole. However, as is the nature of MMA, there are already plenty of people looking ahead to what’s next.

Kurt Holobaugh was surprised to see how little Conor McGregor was truly involved with his team on The Ultimate Fighter. McGregor was coaching TUF 31 opposite Michael Chandler and it was a season of veterans vs. prospects. All the veterans ended up being coached by Chandler which Holobaugh was thrilled about.
