He defeated Cory Sandhagen via unanimous decision, and he did so fairly convincingly. Ever since, fans have been wondering whether or not he’s going to receive a title shot.

UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier isn’t a fan of 12-to-6 elbows and feels they should remain banned despite the recent lifting of the rule. The 12-to-6 elbow is a straight vertical attack to a grounded opponent, which was banned for years up until this summer. The Association of Boxing Commissions and Combative Sports recently voted unanimously to lift the ban from MMA’s unified ruleset, beginning on November 1st.

ESPN+ set to raise subscription prices ahead of massive UFC pay-per-views

ESPN viewers will soon have to pay an increased price to watch upcoming UFC Fight Night events and pay-per-views. Disney, ESPN’s parent company, announced this week that the ESPN+ monthly subscription will increase from $10.99 to $11.99 in mid-October. The increase will officially launch on October 17th, nine days before UFC 308: Topuria vs. Holloway.

Heading into the bout, Nurmagomedov was looking for his first win over a ranked opponent in a bout that served as his first career UFC main event. ‘Young Eagle’ was returning to action following a decision win over Bekzat Almakhan back in March. Sandhagen, meanwhile, was riding a three-fight winning streak and was coming off a decision win over Rob Font last August.

Taveras, who made his UFC debut at UFC 297 in January, left his mother’s house near Jacksonville last Monday when a pair of assailants opened fire from a moving vehicle. Luckily, Taveras wasn’t injured and was able to use his firearm in self-defense, forcing the shooters away from the residence.
