UFC welterweight Mike Perry has sent Jake Paul a message expressing concern for the YouTubers mental well being. Perry (14-7 MMA) has not competed since suffering a unanimous decision loss to Tim Means at November’s UFC 255 event. The loss marked Perry’s third setback in his past four Octagon appearances.

Alvarez and Chandler have a storied history having competed for the Bellator lightweight world title on two occasions. Their first encounter occurred at Bellator 58 in November of 2011 where Chandler dethroned Alvarez with a fourth round submission.

UFC Vegas 18 loses main card bout just hours before the event

Tonight’s UFC Vegas 18: ‘Overem vs. Volkov’ event just took a major hit losing one of its scheduled main card contests at the last minute. The Ultimate Fighting Championship recently issued a press release stating that a scheduled featherweight bout between Cody Stamann and Askar Askar has been removed from this evenings fight card.

The Octagon returns to Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 18 event, a thirteen-bout fight card headlined by Alistair Overeem vs. Alexander Volkov. Overeem (47-18 MMA) enters tonight’s event with aspirations of going on one final title run. The former Strikeforce and DREAM heavyweight champion has won two fights in a row and four of his past five overall. In his most recent effort this past September, Alistair Overeem scored a fifth round TKO victory over Augusto Sakai.

Dave Portnoy, the owner of Barstool Sports, and the promoter of Rough N’ Rowdy was not happy with Jose Canseco’s performance this evening. In the main event of Rough N’ Rowdy 13, the former MLB star fought Barstool Sports intern, Billy Football. In the lead-up to the bout, Jose Canseco made it clear he was too powerful and would knock out the intern in the first-round. The intern, on the other hand, claimed he would shock the world so fans were anticipating a very entertaining bout, but it was far from that.

On Friday night, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship will promote its first event of 2021 in BKFC: KnuckleMania, a card topped by the promotional debut of Paige VanZant. VanZant will make her BKFC debut opposite boxer turned bare-knuckle fighter Britain Hart, a woman widely viewed as a tough challenge for the former UFC star. Heading into the matchup, Hart is 1-2 under the BKFC banner. Paul, a YouTube sensation who has picked up two dominant knockout wins as a boxer, has quickly bloomed into one of the biggest draws in combat sports. Askren, meanwhile, is one of the best trash talkers on social media and a former UFC star. Though this is his first pro boxing match, Askren has been doing a tremendous job of promoting the fight and making it interesting for fans. With over two months left before the fight takes place, both men are doing their part to up fan interest.

It was exactly 10 years ago today that Anderson Silva knocked out Vitor Belfort with a front kick in the main event of UFC 126. Silva and Belfort are two of the biggest stars in Brazilian MMA ever, and on February 5, 2011, they met in the main event of UFC 126. At the time, Silva was the UFC middleweight champion and was coming off of an incredible comeback win over Chael Sonnen. But before beating Sonnen he had a string of lackluster performances, and not everyone was sold on Silva. Belfort, who was coming off of a knockout win over Rich Franklin, was said to be the man that could finish Silva. But Silva wasn’t hearing it. Instead, he landed a front kick right to the jaw on Belfort, KOing him cold.
