Chase Sherman has had a whirlwind of a week, to say the least. Sherman was officially released from the UFC just four days ago, partly due to him and his manager asking for it. He says Mick Maynard wanted to keep him on the roster, but they had no fights for him so the plan was to go back to BKFC and get some fights there and then re-sign with the UFC in the future.

The bout came to a close due to an illegal headbutt near the end of the third round. Prior to the illegal blow, Anderson was in complete control and was on his way to winning light-heavyweight gold.
