Adesanya is set to put his middleweight championship on the line against Strickland at UFC 293 on September 9. “The Last Stylebender” was expected to meet Dricus du Plessis in a grudge match at the pay-per-view. That plan couldn’t come to fruition, as du Plessis is recovering from an injury and was not going to be healed in time. As a result, Strickland got the call to meet “Izzy.”

Paul Felder has made his way back in the USADA testing pool, but a return to the Octagon isn’t a lock. Felder’s last pro MMA fight took place back in late 2020 against Rafael dos Anjos. “The Irish Dragon” lost the fight via unanimous decision, and announced his retirement from pro MMA competition the following year. When Felder retired, he said that he was comfortable with the decision given his age and the lack of fire for competing. Fast forward to 2023 and perhaps there is a newfound spark.

Some believe he will spearhead the next generation of MMA heavyweights. Aspinall is looking to prove his supporters right, and he feels a showdown with Gane is a good step in that direction. Logan Paul has fired back at Dillon Danis’ string of troll posts. Paul and Danis are set to collide in a boxing match on October 14. While Danis is known for ruffling feathers, few could’ve anticipated he’d take things as far as he has going into this bout. The Bellator fighter has uploaded dozens of images showing Paul’s fiancée, Nina Agdal, with other men. He even uploaded a NSFW video of Agdal, who talked about wanting to have sex.

Manon Fiorot believes she’s due for a title shot following her UFC Paris victory over Rose Namajunas. Fiorot and Namajunas shared the Octagon inside Accor Arena in Paris, France on September 2. The bout went the distance and Fiorot was awarded the unanimous decision victory. Most agree that at this point, Fiorot and Erin Blanchfield are the two names to look at for the winner of Alexa Grasso vs. Valentina Shevchenko 2.

The Octagon returned to France for today’s UFC Paris event, an eleven-bout fight card headlined by Ciryl Gane vs. Serghei Spivac. The highly anticipated heavyweight main event proved to be a one-sided affair. Ciryl Gane was able to keep the fight standing, this despite Serghei Spivac’s best efforts to get the contest to the ground. ‘Bon Gamin’ peppered ‘The Polar Bear’ with punches throughout the fight and wound up cruising to a second-round TKO victory following a wicked final flurry of punches.
