Scary scenes in Macau after Feng Xiaocan was taken out on a stretcher following her brutal head kick knockout loss to Shi Ming. Ming entered the contest as big betting underdog and throughout the opening two rounds, she struggled to find her range against her much taller opponent in Xiaocan.

The Octagon returns to China for today’s UFC Macau event, a thirteen bout fight card headliner by Petr Yan vs. Deiveson Figueiredo. Yan (17-5 MMA) will be returning to action for the first time since defeating Song Yadong by unanimous decision at March’s UFC 299 event. That win snapped a three-fight losing skid for the former bantamweight champion, as ‘No Mercy’ had previously dropped three straight decisions to Aljamain Sterling, Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvilli respectively.

Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has opened up on his retirement plans. ‘The Last Stylebender’ is in a bit of a weird spot at the moment. Israel Adesanya was last seen in the cage at UFC 305 in August, facing middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis. The bout was the former champion’s first, since suffering a shocking decision loss to Sean Strickland last August. In Adesanya’s absence, ‘Stillknocks’ won the gold.

After a year away from the cage, Mitchell is now set to return.

Back for the first time since submitting Ciryl Gane last March, Jon Jones faced Stipe Miocic. For his part, the 42-year-old former heavyweight champion hadn’t been seen in the cage since a knockout loss to Francis Ngannou in 2021.

UFC star Conor McGregor has been found civically liable of rape in Ireland, and his combat sports rival Jake Paul was one of the first to react to the disturbing news. Over the last week, McGregor has been embroiled in a highly publicized civil trial stemming from an 2018 incident at a Dublin hotel, during which he was alleged to have sexually assaulted a woman named Nikita Hand. The “alleged” stipulation is no longer required, as far as Dublin’s High Court is concerned, after jurors sided with Hand on Nov. 22.

The UFC Macau weigh-ins are in the books and the main event has been made official. Tomorrow’s Fight Night card will be held inside the Galaxy Arena in Macau. Headlining the card will be a pivotal bantamweight clash between Petr Yan and Deiveson Figueiredo. Both men are former UFC champions and are looking for gold once again. In Figueiredo’s case, he wants to hold a UFC championship in a second weight class. The winner will be one step closer to achieving his goal.
Conor McGregor issues statement after Dublin jury rules he's liable for sexual assault

Conor McGregor has spoken out after a jury in Dublin found him liable in a 2018 sexual assault case. The jury determined that the UFC megastar was guilty of sexually assaulting Nikita Hand in December 2018. Irish Mirror’s Pat Healy revealed that the verdict includes damages around €250,000. Hand filed the civil suit back in 2021 and alleged that she never gave consent to an intoxicated McGregor. Hand alleged that both McGregor and a man named James Lawrence sexually assaulted her. The jury determined that Lawrence did not commit sexual assault.

Daniel Cormier is trying to clear the air with Bo Nickal. The undefeated Nickal, one of the hottest prospects in the UFC middleweight division, was back in action at UFC 309 last weekend, taking on Scotland’s Paul Craig. Nickal won the fight by decision, but the majority of fans seemed to be disappointed by his performance, and Cormier, who was on commentary duty, didn’t seem to be blown away either. In fact, Cormier was critical enough of his fellow wrestler’s performance that Nickal took issue with his comments after the fact.
