UFC welterweight Sean Brady believes his win over Leon Edwards was more impressive than Belal Muhammad’s last year. Last night, Sean Brady picked up the biggest win of his career so far. He was able to defeat and dominate former UFC champion Leon Edwards, and in doing so, he has put himself in contention for a shot at the title. More than likely, he’ll battle it out with Belal Muhammad, if the champ is able to get through Jack Della Maddalena.

Edwards was going to face Jack Della Maddalena, but plans changed when Shavkat Rakhmonov couldn’t accept the May 10 date to challenge Belal Muhammad for the UFC Welterweight Championship. Brady made the most of his opportunity, keeping Edwards grounded before securing a fourth-round guillotine choke for the win.

The fight card was headlined by a key welterweight showdown featuring former champion Leon Edwards taking on rising contender Sean Brady. The bout proved to be a coming out party for Brady. The American was able to dominate Edwards throughout the entirety of the fight, using his strong grappling skills to smother and control the former welterweight champion. Fighters will use four-ounce gloves, be able to use elbows, and occasionally engage on the ground. Interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall wants to work with the WWE to promote his fight against Jon Jones. As many fans are aware, the British heavyweight is currently waiting for ‘Bones’. Tom Aspinall was last seen in the cage last summer in Manchester, where he scored a first-round knockout win over Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304. That night, the interim champion called for a title unification with the legendary Jon Jones. While the 37-year-old turned down Aspinall’s offer at first, he’s currently in discussions with the UFC to make the bout.

According to a recent report, the Global Fight League will hold its first event in May, featuring fights such as Tony Ferguson vs. Dillon Danis. The upstart league founded by Darren Owen was announced late last year. At the time details about the Global Fight League were largely sparse, but they quickly began signing fighters by the dozens. Many, many ex-UFC stars quickly signed with the league, including Tony Ferguson, Frank Mir, Paige VanZant, and more. The league hopes to use a team-based format, with coaches such as Lyoto Machida, to find a niche in the market.
Dillon Danis reacts to KSI fight being postponed: "I remember my first cold"

KSI and Dillon Danis will not be fighting on March 29. The two were set to collide in the main event of Misfits Boxing 21 inside the AO Arena in Manchester. Plans have now changed, as Misfits Boxing announced that KSI will not be able to make the fight date due to an illness.
