Jon Jones has taken to Twitter to talk about his former light heavyweight status and what’s to come for the fighter in 2022. Jones (26-1 MMA) last fought back in February of 2020 at UFC 247, where he defeated Dominick Reyes (12-3 MMA), defending the light heavyweight title for the 13th time. Jon Jones defeated Dominick Reyes via unanimous decision (48-47, 48-47, 49-46).

Jon Jones’ vendetta against Chael Sonnen continues to escalate following his latest series of tweets regarding the former title challenger. While their actual feud for the UFC light heavyweight championship may have been fairly amicable, post-retirement Chael Sonnen hasn’t been so kind to Jon Jones. “The Bad Guy” has been a vocal critic of the GOAT contender’s actions outside of the cage and in turn, “Bones” hasn’t been afraid to hit right back at him – usually over social media.

It’s safe to say that Darren Till is high on Tom Aspinall. In addition to thinking his countryman will become a champion, he also thinks he defeats Jon Jones. Aspinall competed last weekend at UFC London against Alexander Volkov. The 28-year-old defeated his Russian counterpart via first-round submission. For his efforts, he earned a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus and shot up the heavyweight rankings. Following the bout, he called out Tai Tuivasa for a matchup next.

Daukaus, a former Philadelphia police officer, knows a fight against Jones would be a big payday and a massive fight for his career. However, Jones has a history of not making it to the fight due to positive drug tests or legal problems. With that, Daukaus says he couldn’t commit 12 weeks of his life to a fight that probably doesn’t happen.

Jon Jones has taken to Twitter to announce that his fiancé left him about two months ago. Jon ‘Bones’ Jones, 34, competes in the light heavyweight division of the UFC. With an impeccable record of 26-1 MMA, Jones is widely considered to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. While Jones hasn’t fought since UFC 247 back in February of 2020, where he defeated Dominick Reyes, he has stated he would like to get back in the cage in the second quarter of 2022.

Jon Jones was caught headbutting a police car during his arrest in Las Vegas back in September. On Tuesday, the Las Vegas Review-Journal obtained police bodycam footage of Jones’ arrest where he headbutted a police car (at the 3:09 mark) and reportedly left a “medium-size dent” and chipped the paint. During the arrest, Jones is heard calling one of the officers a “nerd” and asked “A black man can’t drink?” as he accused the officers of racial profiling.

With Francis Ngannou out of action for the foreseeable future, due to his uncertain contract status as well as ongoing injury problems, the UFC needs to start planning ahead for the heavyweight division. Some believe that means a new interim champion needs to be crowned and if that’s going to happen, the two biggest names available are Stipe Miocic and Jon Jones.
