Conor McGregor has confirmed that his proposed wheelchair charity boxing match in September has been postponed. McGregor’s wheelchair boxing extravaganza will see him take on Al Foran, a man who has become “notorious” for his impressions of the former two-weight UFC champion in recent years. However, as opposed to going down next month, the Irishman’s return to Dublin will now be pushed back until later in the year.

While the fight only last one round, ‘The Diamond’ says the leg kicks he received from ‘Notorious’ during their trilogy definitely left a mark.

Despite the Irishman coming forward with real purpose, he ultimately came up short as a result of a broken leg in the dying seconds of the first round.

In the opening round, of the scrap, McGregor had some moments but Poirier took him down and controlled him until with seconds left they got back to their feet and when the Irishman threw a punch he broke his leg. Poirier defeated McGregor via first-round TKO at UFC 264 earlier this month to claim the pair’s trilogy by a score of 2-1. However, the ending of the fight was controversial as McGregor broke his leg which directly led to the finish. Since the fight has gone down, McGregor has come out publicly and stated that he had an injury heading into the Poirier fight. But as far as “The Diamond” goes, he doesn’t care for McGregor’s excuses.

Back at UFC 264, McGregor was once again beaten by Dustin Poirier – this time as a result of a doctor stoppage due to a broken leg. After Poirier was interviewed by Joe Rogan, the UFC production team seemingly thought it’d be a good idea to go over and also speak with Conor, which didn’t end well.

The UFC Vegas 31 rankings update has dropped, and lightweight Islam Makhachev moved to No. 4 at 155lbs while Conor McGregor dropped to No. 9. Makhachev was the No. 9 ranked lightweight going into his main event matchup against No. 14 ranked Thiago Moises at last weekend’s UFC Vegas 31 event. After defeating Moises in the fourth round by submission to pick up his eighth straight win, the rankers rewarded the Russian for his long winning streak by bumping him up five spots all the way to No. 4 in the division. With Makhachev moving way up the rankings, someone else had to be bumped down. Tony Ferguson moved down to No. 6, Rafael dos Anjos moved to No. 7, and McGregor dropped all the way to No. 9. There was also a small swap at the bottom of the rankings as Arman Tsarukyan went to No. 14 and Moises fell down to the No. 15 spot.
