Tonight’s UFC Vegas 85 event was co-headlined by a highly anticipated lightweight fight between Drew Dober and Renato Moicano. Dober (27-13 MMA) was returning to action for the first time since October’s UFC Vegas 80 event, where he scored a first-round TKO victory over Ricky Glenn. That finish moved the Denver native back into the win column, as he had previously suffered a TKO loss to Matt Frevola at UFC 288.

Renato Moicano is eager to get into a fight again. Moicano last fought in November of 2022 when he submitted Brad Riddell. He was then booked to fight Arman Tsarukyan in April, but an injury forced him to withdraw, and the Brazilian didn’t get to fight at all in 2023, which was frustrating for him.

Moicano was down four rounds to dos Anjos and was taking unnecessary punishment but Goddard decided to allow the fight to continue which the Brazilian is thankful for.
