Newly minted interim Bellator Bantamweight Champion Patchy Mix isn’t sold on Sergio Pettis’ eagerness to fight him. Mix scored the biggest win of his pro MMA career at Bellator 295 this past Saturday (April 22). In the finals of the Bellator Bantamweight World Grand Prix, Mix went one-on-one with Raufeon Stots, who was the interim Bellator bantamweight titleholder going into the fight. Mix landed a knee that shut the lights off Stots in the opening frame.

Bobby Green was none too pleased with the result of his UFC Vegas 71 bout against Jared Gordon. Green initially appeared to score a knockout victory over Gordon late in the first round after putting him out with some ground and pound. As it turns out, “King” Green and Gordon clashed heads, so the bout was ultimately ruled a no contest. This didn’t sit well with Bobby Green, who was visibly frustration during his post-fight media scrum. Green was asked how he was feeling about the result.

Sergei Pavlovich scored a massive TKO win over Curtis Blaydes and he’s made it clear that he expects a crack at the UFC Heavyweight Championship next. Pavlovich and Blaydes shared the Octagon in the main event of UFC Vegas 71. The action was held inside the UFC Apex in front of a limited crowd. Pavlovich made sure Blaydes’ night was over early. He scored the TKO finish just over three minutes into the opening frame. The victory earned Pavlovich a “Performance of the Night” bonus.

UFC megastar Conor McGregor has been tickled by Nate Diaz’s recent scuffle on Bourbon Street. McGregor and Diaz have been known to hurl barbs at one another, but they’ve also shown mutual respect. It’s the latter in this case, as McGregor weighed in on Diaz choking out a Logan Paul lookalike outside of the XULA Convocation Center, the site of Misfits Boxing 6 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Logan Paul and Jake Paul poked fun at Nate Diaz over a recent incident on Bourbon Street. Diaz attended the Misfits Boxing 6 card, which was held inside the XULA Convocation Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Diaz was in the venue to support his longtime teammate Chris Avila, who earned a unanimous decision victory over Paul Bamba. The Stockton native wasted little time making his presence felt, throwing a water bottle at reality TV star Chase DeMoor in the crowd.

Zak Cummings figured UFC Kansas City would be his retirement fight and that ended up being the case. Cummings finally made his return to the Octagon last weekend, this after dealing with a bad back injury that left him unable to even pick up his daughter. It was a hard few months for Cummings but he finally was able to return at UFC Kansas City and got a third-round TKO win over Ed Herman. Although Cummings believed he would win, he was surprised by how dominant it was.

The Octagon returned to Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 71 event, an eleven-bout fight card headlined by Sergei Pavlovich vs. Curtis Blaydes. Tonight’s highly anticipated heavyweight main event did not make it out of the opening round. Sergei Pavlovich was aggressive right from the get-go, but Curtis Blaydes was doing a good job early with his counter punches. However, the Russian knockout artist eventually found a home for some of his big shots and sent ‘Razor’ crashing to the canvas from an uppercut. From there, Pavlovich used some ground and pound to put Blaydes away for good.

The 30-year-old Russian standout had won all five of his most previous bouts by way of KO / TKO.

Tavares (19-7 MMA) will enter the contest looking to rebound, this after dropping a decision to Dricus Du Plessis in his most recent outing at UFC 276. Prior to that setback, the Hawaiian was coming off back-to-back decision victories over Antônio Carlos Júnior and Omari Akhmedov.

Green (29-14-1 MMA) will enter the contest with hopes of snapping his two-fight losing skid. ‘King’ is coming off back-to-back stoppage losses to Drew Dober and Islam Makhachev respectively. Prior to those setbacks, the 36-year-old was coming off wins over Al Iaquinta and Nasrat Haqparast.

Nate Diaz put a man to sleep during a street fight. Diaz was attending the Misfits boxing card when he threw a water bottle at a Reality TV star on Friday night. Then, after the event, the former UFC star got into a scuffle and choked a random man unconscious. Immediately, the video went viral which can be seen below.

Dana White has announced two more fights for UFC 290. After White did a special announcement announcing several key fights on Thursday, he did it again on Friday with three fights for UFC 290 on July 8 – which serves as International Fight Week. First, White announced that Robert Whittaker will take on Dricus Du Plessis in a title eliminator bout. Now, the UFC boss announced that Dan Hooker will return at UFC 290 against Jalin Turner.

A title eliminator fight at middleweight will be going down at UFC 290. On Friday, Dana White took to social media to announce Robert Whittaker will take to Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 290 on July 8 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. White also announced the fight is an official title eliminator as the winner will get the next middleweight title shot against Adesanya. This comes a day after White announced several middleweight fights including Vettori-Cannonier and Strickland-Magomedov among others.

Bellator flyweight contender Ray Borg is once again back in hot water for missing weight. ‘The Tazmexican Devil’ has been out of the cage since his clash with Ricky Bandejas at Eagle FC 46 in March. In that outing, Borg outworked the Bellator veteran en route to a split-decision win. The victory was the flyweight’s third in a row since leaving the UFC in 2020. That August, Borg was released from the promotion due to weight issues.

UFC lightweight contender Beneil Dariush isn’t really expecting to fight Charles Oliveira later this year. The longtime lightweight contender has been out of the cage since his clash with Mateusz Gamrot in October. In that outing at UFC 280, Dariush scored a lopsided unanimous decision win over ‘Gamer’. That victory was his eighth in a row, having previously defeated names such as Tony Ferguson and Drew Dober in that stretch.

Drew Dober has named the fighter he believes is most capable of dethroning UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. Makhachev (24-1 MMA) is riding high after defeating Alexander Volkanovski (25-2 MMA) this past February at UFC 284.
