Former UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman doesn’t think the judges will be needed if he fights Khamzat Chimaev. Usman and Chimaev have expressed interest in colliding inside the Octagon. “The Nigerian Nightmare” told ESPN that it’s a fight that has him intrigued, but he suggested the bout be contested at a catchweight. Chimaev took to his Twitter account to tag Usman in a post with a few money bag emojis. Usman’s response was positive, and he has since doubled down.

Former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub has called Francis Ngannou’s PFL deal into question after it was announced earlier this week. As most of us know, Francis Ngannou has officially signed with PFL. While some of the reactions from fans were mixed, a lot of fighters came out to voice their support for ‘The Predator’. In addition to fighting for PFL, he’ll also be allowed to venture into the boxing ring.

In addition to the signing itself, plenty of details were also released, which included guaranteed seven-figure purses for his opponents, a big role in PFL Africa, the ability to compete in boxing and more. Whichever way you look at it, Francis Ngannou will be making a lot of money.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Francis Ngannou had signed a blockbuster deal with PFL. However, it was also revealed that he won’t make his debut until 2024, instead giving him time to try and have his long-awaited boxing debut instead.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Demopoulos was forced to leave Fight Ready and in the process of picking a new gym, she went to Factory X in Denver, Colorado, and loved it. She felt a great family atmosphere and she knows training at elevation will only help her game that much more.

In the co-main event of UFC 291 on July 29 in Salt Lake City, Utah, Pereira is set to make his light heavyweight debut against former champ, Jan Blachowicz. It’s a tough test right away for Pereira who is coming off a KO loss to Israel Adesanya back in April to lose his middleweight title.

The bout ended a three-year hiatus for the former champion, having last competed in May 2020. In that outing, Cejudo scored a second-round knockout win over Dominick Cruz.

The UFC commentator previously opined that if Fury was to fight ‘Bones’ in a room alone, it wouldn’t go well for him. Given the British star’s colorful and boisterous personality, he naturally didn’t take the comments well.

In January, Ngannou made history as the first champion to leave the UFC since BJ Penn did so in 2004. At the time, the heavyweight stated that restrictive contracts, as well as a lack of an ability to box, forced his move.

UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has reacted to Alex Pereira’s fight booking. ‘The Last Stylebender’ and ‘Poatan’ faced off at UFC 287 last month in Florida. The bout was the fourth time that they had faced off, with the Brazilian scoring two wins in the kickboxing ring. In their initial MMA fight last November, Pereira scored a fifth-round knockout win to win the gold.

The news was disappointing to many fans as it means that Ngannou vs. Jones won’t be happening. Count former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub in the camp of people who don’t believe Aljo has been given his due, as he mentioned during “The Schaub Show” (via MMA Knockout).

Boxing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is none too pleased with UFC color commentator Joe Rogan’s recent comments. Rogan recently told comedian Andrew Schultz that if Fury and UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones were fighting in a room, there’s no way “The Gypsy King” would stand a chance of making it out of that room. Rogan said Fury’s only realistic opportunity would be to catch Jones with one punch, and he doesn’t believe that would happen.

In the mind of Francis Ngannou, his move from the UFC to PFL is nothing personal, just business. Ngannou was the reigning UFC Heavyweight Champion from March 2021 to early 2023. “The Predator” and the UFC parted ways back in January. This was after the two sides couldn’t come to terms on a new deal. Since that time, Jon Jones has become the UFC titleholder at heavyweight, while Ngannou recently announced he has put pen to paper with PFL.

One Cage Warriors titleholder thinks he can tag UFC Bantamweight Champion Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo with ease. Sterling and Cejudo are viewed as the gold standard of the 135-pound division in the UFC. The two had a renowned five-round battle that ended in a split decision. It was Sterling who successfully retained the bantamweight gold.
