Namajunas (12-6 MMA) was originally slated to collide with Maycee Barber in tonight’s event headliner, but ‘The Future’ was forced to withdraw from the contest and was replaced by Cortez.

As we know, Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya have had quite the rivalry over the years. Following on from a 2-0 series win for Pereira in kickboxing, the two went on to compete against each other in mixed martial arts. So far, they’re tied at 1-1, with Adesanya avenging a KO loss to ‘Poatan’ with one of his own.

A video was released of Tracy Cortez deciding to chop off her hair ahead of her UFC Denver main event. Cortez stepped up on short notice to face Rose Namajunas, but on Friday, she originally tipped the scales at 126.5lbs, just 0.5lbs over the 126lbs limit. She had an additional hour to try and make weight, but Cortez decided the easier way was to cut her hair, and she told her manager Tiki Ghosn to cut her hair.

UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping doesn’t agree with Sean Strickland’s plan to wait for another UFC Middleweight Championship opportunity. With Dricus Du Plessis set to put the 185-pound gold on the line against Israel Adesanya at UFC 305, many have called for a title eliminator between Strickland and Robert Whittaker. The only problem is, Strickland has been opposed to the idea because he feels he’s due for another title fight given how close his split decision loss to Du Plessis was.

The “Suga” show now joins legendary names such as Conor McGregor, Ronda Rousey, and Demetrious Johnson for MMA fighters who have taken home ESPY awards.

On one hand, he’s one of the most exciting fighters in the sport. On the other hand, he’s incredibly inactive. He was scheduled to fight Robert Whittaker just a few weeks ago in Saudi Arabia, but he was forced to pull out. Now, nobody really knows what the immediate future holds for him.

Chael Sonnen has questioned Daniel Cormier for suggesting Tom Aspinall could still interrupt the planned Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic showdown. As we know, Tom Aspinall is the interim UFC heavyweight champion. At UFC 304 in Manchester, he’ll defend that title against Curtis Blaydes. The Englishman is considered to be the favorite, but regardless of whether or not he wins, he’s unlikely to go up against Jon Jones in his next outing.

Pimblett is a perfect 5-0 in the UFC and is set for his sixth fight and his first crack at a ranked opponent. Although Pimblett is getting a big fight, the Brit revealed in a new interview with MMAJunkie that he will be fighting out his contract at UFC 304, and he hints at going to box YouTubers next time out.

Nine months removed from that defeat, Abdul Razak Alhassan is set to return to the cage at UFC Denver. In the main card opener, the hard-hitting middleweight contender will face Cody Brundage.

Since then, the former Bellator lightweight champion has shown interest in fights with Nate Diaz and Max Holloway.

UFC Hall of Famer Mark Coleman has announced he is back in the hospital. Coleman was airlifted to a hospital back in March after saving his parents from a nasty house fire. After saving his parents, he went back in to save his dog, who unfortunately passed away.
