Paddy Pimblett believes Conor McGregor will have a successful return to the Octagon against the odds. McGregor is set to have his first pro MMA bout since 2021. He’s scheduled to rekindle his rivalry with Max Holloway, who he defeated all the way back in 2013. McGregor’s return fight will headline UFC 329 on July 11, which will cap off International Fight Week.

Topuria certainly didn’t lack confidence going into the UFC Freedom 250 lightweight title unification bout against Justin Gaethje, but that wasn’t enough to avoid the first loss of his pro MMA career. While Topuria did have some success in the fight, dropping Gaethje with body shots at one point, “The Highlight” got the better of him on the feet. Topuria’s face was battered to the point where he didn’t get off his stool for the final round due to a broken orbital.

Had Pimblett won the fight, he would’ve set himself up for a lightweight title unification bout against Topuria. Instead, Gaethje battered “The Baddy,” who was able to survive until the final horn.
