Igor Severino handed a nine-month suspension for biting opponent at UFC Fight Night event

Flyweight MMA fighter Igor Severino was handed a nine-month suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after biting Andre Lima in his March 23 UFC debut. Severino’s nine-month suspension is retroactive, and he’s also been fined more than $2,000 in fees for the incident. He was cut from the promotion immediately after biting Lima inside the Octagon.

Arman Tsarukyan has been fined and suspended by the NSAC for his UFC 300 fan attack. The 27-year-old Tsarukyan (22-3 MMA) last fought and defeated Charles Oliveira (34-10 MMA) in a lightweight bout this past April at the historic UFC 300.

McGregor was supposed to headline the pay-per-view card on Saturday against Michael Chandler, but two weeks out from the fight, the Irishman pulled out of the contest. McGregor later revealed that he withdrew due to a broken toe, which many fans think wasn’t a good enough reason to pull out of the fight.
