While Jake Paul was initially expected to face Mike Tyson on July 20th, ‘Iron Mike’ was forced out due to health issues. As a result, BKFC star Mike Perry stepped up on short notice and was handed a devastating sixth-round stoppage loss.

Leon Edwards says Belal Muhammad didn’t want to fight him anymore after the first round of their fight back in 2021. Muhammad stepped up on short notice to headline a Fight Night card at the Apex against Edwards in a pivotal fight at welterweight. In the first round, Edwards had a lot of success as he landed a head kick that rocked Muhammad. Then, just seconds into the second round, Edwards’ eye poked Muhammad and the fight was stopped as ‘Remember The Name’ couldn’t continue.

Strickland is holding out for another middleweight title shot after defeating former title challenger Paulo Costa at UFC 302. Tyson ended up having to withdraw from the matchup due to an ulcer flareup. Perry replaced Tyson and was handed a sixth-round TKO loss against Paul for his efforts.

For Paul, he was looking to put another former UFC fighter on his list of victims inside the boxing ring.

Paul was simply too skilled in the sweet science for Perry to handle. “Platinum” kept getting popped with the jab and ate plenty of power shots from his opponent. Perry was knocked down several times before the referee decided to call the fight in the sixth round.
