UFC fighter Rongzhu suffered a handful of facial fractures in his brutal TKO defeat at the hands of Chris Padilla. After being released by the Ultimate Fighting Championship a few year back, Rongzhu worked hard to get back to the big dance. Through the Road to UFC showcase, he went 3-0 and earned a contract with the company once again. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a winning return last night against Chris Padilla.

Over the course of the last 15 years, Lorenz Larkin has served as an interesting case study in mixed martial arts. For the longest time, he was viewed as someone who has the potential to be a real superstar. In equal measure, some of his appearances inside the cage didn’t quite live up to the hype.

The Octagon remained in Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 97 event, a twelve-bout fight card headlined by Gilbert Burns vs. Sean Brady. The highly anticipated welterweight main event proved to be a hard fought back and forth affair. Sean Brady was able to find a consistent home for his 1-2 and low kick throughout the fight, making it difficult for Gilbert Burns to find a way inside. Although ‘Durinho’ had some moments in the twenty-five-minute contest, it was clear that after five rounds of action Brady had done more than enough to get the victory.

Tonight’s UFC Vegas 97 event was headlined by a key welterweight showdown between Gilbert Burns and Sean Brady. Burns (22-8 MMA) entered the contest with hopes of snapping his two-fight losing skid. ‘Durinho’ was of course coming off losses to Jack Della Maddalena and Belal Muhammad in his two most previous efforts. Prior to those setbacks, Burns had put together back-t0-back victories over Jorge Masvidal and Neil Magny respectively.

Andrade (26-13 MMA) had entered the contest sporting a two-fight winning streak, this after scoring victories over Mackenzie Dern and Marina Rodriguez in her two previous efforts. Prior to those wins, the former strawweight queen was coming off three straight defeats against opponents Erin Blanchfield, Yan Xiaonan and Tatiana Suarez.

He’s put together a nice string of victories and most recently, he was able to overcome Mateusz Gamrot in what proved to be quite the upset. Now, he’s looking ahead to a possible title run, which would’ve seemed insane to consider not so long ago.

UFC commentator Jon Anik has hyped up fans by teasing how incredible the upcoming Noche UFC event at the Sphere will be. Next weekend, the Ultimate Fighting Championship will make history. They will put on the first major sports event at the Sphere in Las Vegas. As you can imagine, there’s a lot of excitement and hype surrounding this showcase. The Sphere is one of the most visually insane structures ever assembled, and the UFC is doing everything in its power to make it a night that fight fans will never forget.

The bout will be the heavyweight’s first in the cage since leaving the UFC in 2023, and his first in the PFL cage.

Footage surfaced of a roadside altercation between “The Last Stylebender” and an unidentified man in New Zealand. At the end of their argument, Adesanya spat in the man’s direction.
