Former two-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor is unsure if Michael Chandler is next. ‘The Notorious’ hasn’t been seen in the cage since his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier in July 2021. That night saw the Irishman break his leg in the final seconds of round one. Due to that injury, as well as filming ‘Road House’, Conor McGregor has been out of the cage for three years. However, he was finally set to make his return to the cage in June.

Dustin Poirier is hopeful the UFC heads to Louisiana in 2025 so he can have his retirement fight at home. Poirier has said he will fight at least one more time after contemplating his future following his submission loss to Islam Makhachev for the lightweight title. After taking some time to contemplate his future, Poirier is now calling for the UFC to go back to Louisiana so he can fight at home for his final fight.

Former UFC veteran Chael Sonnen shared his belief that Moicano vs. Gaethje is a no brainer. UFC CEO Dana White said the promotion won’t be speaking to Moicano about his next fight until he heals from a shoulder injury.

MMA analyst Brendan Schaub isn’t sure Khalil Rountree Jr will ever be the same following his brutal loss to Alex Pereira. On Saturday night at UFC 307, Khalil Rountree Jr put everything on the line. He went to war with Alex Pereira and unfortunately, he came up on the wrong end of a TKO loss. Despite this, he picked up plenty of new fans thanks to his determination and willingness to go out on his shield.

Artem Vakhitov picked up a huge win on Dana White’s Contender Series – and Alex Pereira was right there to watch it all unfold. Last night, Artem Vakhitov put a beating on Islem Masraf and managed to earn himself a UFC contract in the process. Vakhitov, 33, is best known for being a two-time Glory light heavyweight champion in the world of kickboxing. Oh, and he’s also the last person to defeat Pereira in kickboxing before the latter made his switch over to mixed martial arts.

MMA analyst Chael Sonnen believes Raquel Pennington has earned the right to receive an immediate rematch against Julianna Pena. Last weekend, Raquel Pennington put up a great fight against Julianna Pena at UFC 307. She was defending her UFC women’s bantamweight championship but unfortunately, in the eyes of the judges, she didn’t quite do enough to get over the finish line.

Alex Morono is glad to be making a quick turnaround at UFC Vegas 98 as he hopes to get the bad taste out of his mouth. Morono is coming off a dissapointing decision loss to Niko Price at UFC 302 in June. It was a frustrating fight for Morono who said nothing went right for him all fight week.

UFC CEO Dana White might not be happy with Conor McGregor’s pick for who deserves the top pound-for-pound ranking. McGregor was supposed to make his long-awaited UFC comeback at UFC 303 in June, before withdrawing due to a toe injury. As of this writing, his return remains indefinitely postponed, although he’s targeting a 2025 fight.

UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier feels the UFC is the only MMA promotion in which athletes truly have an opportunity to achieve a superstar fame level. Cormier sat cage-side as UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira defeated Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 307. Pereira defended the belt for the third time in just seven months and rallied from early adversity to finish Rountree.

UFC bantamweight contender Kayla Harrison responded to the PFL’s promotion of her lone career defeat to market one of their biggest stars. Harrison defeated Ketlen Vieira by unanimous decision at UFC 307 last Saturday in Salt Lake City. After defeating Vieira and remaining unbeaten in her UFC tenure, Harrison is likely next in line for the bantamweight title shot.

UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is now training with Gable Steveson. ‘Bones’ is currently working on his return to the octagon. Jon Jones hasn’t competed since winning heavyweight gold last March, submitting Ciryl Gane inside of a round. For his first title defense, the champion is expected to face Stipe Miocic in November in the main event of UFC 309.

UFC light-heavyweight contender Magomed Ankalaev is interested in facing Jon Jones. The 32-year-old Russian is in a bit of an odd situation right now. Magomed Ankalaev last appeared in the cage in January, in an UFC Apex main event. There, the light-heavyweight contender faced Johnny Walker in a rematch of their no-contest last October. Ultimately, it took just two rounds for Ankalaev to secure a knockout victory.

Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland isn’t a fan of Khamzat Chimaev. ‘Tarzan’ has been out of the cage since his June return at UFC 302. In the co-main event, Sean Strickland faced fellow striker Paulo Costa, in his first bout since losing middleweight gold in January. There, the former champion outstruck ‘The Eraser’ en route to a split-decision victory. With the win, he seemingly secured another title fight.

UFC light heavyweight contender Khalil Rountree Jr. isn’t planning on taking an extensive absence after falling short of gold last weekend against Alex Pereira. Pereira defeated Rountree by fourth-round TKO to retain the UFC light heavyweight belt at UFC 307. Despite entering UFC 307 as a significant underdog, Rountree held his own against Pereira and nearly stopped him in the early rounds.

UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira took to social media to further allude to a quest to become a three-division UFC titleholder. Pereira rallied late to knock out Khalil Rountree Jr. in the UFC 307 main event last Saturday in Salt Lake City. He’s successfully defended the UFC light heavyweight title three times in just seven months.

Raquel Pennington is hoping to get an immediate rematch against Julianna Pena after UFC 307. Pennington suffered a controversial split decision loss to Pena in the co-main event of UFC 307. It was a fight nearly all media members scored for Pennington, as did many fans.
