Michael Bisping believes Ilia Topuria’s decision to vacate the featherweight title has benefitted Alexander Volkanovski. Many fans wondered what would be next for the 145-pound title picture before Dana White announced that Volkanovski and Diego Lopes will be fighting for the vacant gold at UFC 314 on April 12. Topuria was the reigning champion, but he has decided to move up to the lightweight division.

One UFC Hall of Famer has seen enough of MMA officials not taking action against eye pokes following the highly discussed conclusion to UFC Seattle. Henry Cejudo had difficulty seeing out of his left eye after receiving an accidental double poke from Song Yadong. Rather than take a point away from Yadong, referee Jason Herzog instead gave the fighter a hard warning. Cejudo continued the fight until the fourth round was ready to begin, as he complained that he couldn’t see out of the left eye. The fight went to a technical decision in favor of Yadong.
Dana White laughs off calls to fire controversial UFC fighter over post-fight antics

Dana White is brushing off those who believe one UFC fighter should be punished for his post-fight actions. On the preliminary portion of the UFC Seattle card, Austin Vanderford went one-on-one with Nikolay Veretennikov in a 175-pound catchweight bout. Vanderford scored the second-round TKO finish. As “The Gentleman” was celebrating his victory, Veretennikov shoved him from behind. Vanderford retaliated with a shove of his own before flipping the double bird.
Song Yadong name drops huge star if he can't get Henry Cejudo rematch following UFC Seattle

Song Yadong has a big name in mind if his next fight isn’t a rematch with Henry Cejudo. Yadong went one-on-one with Cejudo in the main event of UFC Seattle this past Saturday night. The bout was competitive on the feet, but Yadong turned things up in round three before accidentally poking “Triple C” in the left eye. While Cejudo made it through the round after taking five minutes to recover, he couldn’t start round four and Yadong was awarded the win via technical decision.
UFC boss Dana White teases the fight "people want to see" at bantamweight

It’s not yet clear who UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili will defend his title against next. However, company president Dana White dropped a big clue following Saturday’s Fight Night card in Seattle. He claimed that Dvalishvili wants to run it back with the man we won the title from last year, Sean O’Malley, and that the feeling is mutual. He also called the rematch a fight “people want to see” at 135 pounds.

Henry Cejudo has responded to Dana White following his comments on the unforeseen outcome of the UFC Seattle main event. Cejudo shared the Octagon with Song Yadong inside Climate Pledge Arena this past Saturday night. In a night full of exciting bouts and stoppages, the main event ended with a whimper. That’s because Yadong accidentally poked Cejudo in the left eye during the third round.

The Octagon returned to Washington for tonight’s UFC Seattle event, and four fighters ended up walking away with performance bonuses. The event was headlined by a highly anticipated bantamweight matchup between former champion Henry Cejudo and perennial contender Song Yadong. The contest proved to be a fun fight for as long as it lasted. Unfortunately, after a strong showing through the opening two rounds, Song Yadong wound up hitting Henry Cejudo with two fouls, one a low blow, the second a double eye poke. The second foul ultimately caused an abrupt end to the contest, as ‘Tripe C’ could no longer see out of his left eye and was unable to continue. Despite the fouls, the bout was ruled a technical decision which went in favor of ‘The Kung Fu Kid’.
