Patricio Pitbull blasted his UFC Paris opponent for missing weight and causing their fight to be scrapped, but the Brazilian combatant quickly turned his attentions to another standout featherweight contender. The man known as Patricio Freire was initially given the assignment to welcome two-division Oktagon MMA champion Losene Keita to the UFC before Keita did not end up hitting the contracted weight, causing the contest to fall out for this Saturday. Pitbull was understandably upset about all of this and referred to ‘Black Panther’, which is Keita’s nickname, as ‘Fat Panther’ and derided Keita for not attempting the follow-up weigh-in at 11 am after faltering in his 9 am attempt on the scales.

Patricio “Pitbull” Freire is not happy after his opponent failed to make weight for their now cancelled UFC Paris fight. Freire was expected to share the Octagon with UFC debutant Losene Keita inside Accor Arena on Saturday. Keita missed weight by three pounds on weigh-in day. “Pitbull” opted to not go through with the bout. He blasted Keita in a video interview posted on the official X account of UFC (via MMAJunkie).

On Saturday, the former two-division Bellator MMA champion will clash with a former two-division Oktagon MMA titleholder in Losene Keita at UFC Paris on September 6th. Jeremy Kennedy is the former Pitbull opponent in question, and ‘JBC’ battles Jeremy Henry for the Battlefield Fight League interim lightweight title at BFL 84 on September 4th.

Ige (19-10 MMA) will be returning to action for the first time since scoring a TKO win over Sean Woodson this past April at UFC 314 (see that here).
