Dustin Poirier is one of the most experienced fighters in the UFC, with 30-9 record contested at both lightweight and featherweight. Yet apparently, that’s just scratching the surface. During a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Poirier revealed that he’s had a number of pro fights that aren’t listed on his record. In fact, he says there are nine wins and one loss that don’t appear on his official resume.

Dustin Poirier much prefers the anxiety of leaving the Octagon for the final time, as opposed to how he walked out following his last outing. Poirier is scheduled to have his final pro MMA fight against Max Holloway for the BMF Championship on July 19. The bout will headline UFC 318 inside Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. “The Diamond” will look to go 3-0 against “Blessed” to end his pro MMA career.

Ian Machado Garry has fired back at Joaquin Buckley, but he also made a stunning prediction for his foe’s clash with Kamaru Usman. Garry stepped up on short notice to take a main event slot against Carlos Prates this past Saturday at UFC Kansas City. While Prates was preparing for Geoff Neal, “The Future” entered the fray when Neal suffered an injury. Garry looked sharp for most of the fight, but he had to overcome a late scare to take the unanimous decision victory.

Michael Bisping has given his reaction to Anthony Smith’s swan song. Smith entered the Octagon for the final time in the co-main event of UFC Kansas City. Zhang Mingyang was his dance partner, and the fight didn’t make it out of the opening frame. Mingyang delivered some sharp elbows that split the top of Smith’s head. He then rained down strikes on the ground before referee Jason Herzog stopped the fight.

Ian Machado Garry believes there’s a path to facing the No. 1 pound-for-pound UFC fighter Islam Makhachev. At the moment, Garry is the No. 7-ranked welterweight, while Makhachev holds the UFC Lightweight Championship. Makhachev has made it clear that his ultimate goal is to win the UFC welterweight gold to become a two-division champion. One holdup is that his teammate Belal Muhammad is the reigning 170-pound titleholder.

Many of the UFC’s top stars have taken inspiration from WWE with special walkouts. We’ve even see a former WWE champion in Brock Lesnar become a UFC heavyweight titleholder. While Lesnar had the amateur wrestling credentials to earn his spot on the UFC roster, one fellow WWE superstar did not.

Joaquin Buckley has given his reaction to Ian Machado Garry’s UFC Kansas City performance. Garry stepped up to meet Carlos Prates when the UFC needed a new main event. Prates was going to take on Geoff Neal at UFC 314, but Neal was pulled due to an injury. Garry outmatched Prates on the feet until the fourth round, where the Fighting Nerds standout was coming alive. Prates even dropped Garry in the fifth round and nearly secured a finish, but it was too late.

White was in attendance for WWE’s two-night PLE at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. WWE announced a total attendance of 124,693 across both evenings. White admitted that he was in awe of the atmosphere.

UFC star Carlos Prates has released a short statement in the wake of his defeat to Ian Machado Garry at UFC Kansas City. Last night, Carlos Prates fell short in his attempt to overcome Ian Machado Garry. While he did take the fight on short notice, it seemed as if there was a notable gulf between the two in terms of strategy, game planning and overall execution. With that being said, Carlos did manage to significantly hurt Ian in the fifth and final round – but he wasn’t quite able to get him out of there.

The Octagon returned to Missouri for tonight’s UFC Kansas City event, and four fighters wound up taking home performance bonuses. The highly anticipated welterweight main event proved to be another impressive performance for Ian Machado Garry. ‘The Future’ was able to use his Fight IQ and impressive footwork and striking to get the better of Carlos Prates throughout the majority of the opening four rounds. Then, in the fifth and final frame, ‘The Nightmare’ finally got off some good shots and appeared to be on the verge of scoring a finish. Somehow, Garry survived the late onslaught and went on to emerge victorious on all three of the judges’ scorecards.

Tonight’s UFC Kansas City event was headlined by a highly anticipated welterweight bout between Ian Machado Garry and Carlos Prates. Garry (16-1 MMA) was returning to action for the first time since suffering his first career loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov at this past December’s UFC 310 event. Prior to that setback, ‘The Future’ had gone a perfect 8-0 inside of the Octagon, which included wins over Michael Page, Geoff Neal and Neil Magny during that stretch.
