Joe Rogan responds to fans suggesting Nate Diaz should have "gone after" Leon Edwards at UFC 263: "You don’t know what the f*ck you are talking about"

Christopher Taylor - August 14, 2021

Joe Rogan harped on fans suggesting that Nate Diaz dropped the ball by not going after Leon Edwards after he hurt ‘Rocky’ at UFC 263. Diaz (20-13 MMA) and Edwards (19-3 MMA) collided in a five-round welterweight bout at June’s UFC 263 event in Arizona.

Conor McGregor encourages Nate Diaz to continue his trolling of Dustin Poirier: “I am entertained”

Adam D Martin - August 13, 2021

UFC superstar Conor McGregor encouraged Nate Diaz to continue his trolling of rival Dustin Poirier, telling him that “I am entertained.” McGregor has, of course, fought both Diaz and Poirier multiple times each. The Irishman had a pair of memorable fights with Diaz in 2016, where he went 1-1 in the pair of bouts, while “Notorious” ended up losing 2-1 overall to Poirier during their own trilogy. In the last fight against Poirier at UFCC 264, McGregor broke his leg, and he’s expected to be out for the next year while he heals up his wounds. During his time off, McGregor has spent much of it on social media trolling several other fighters including Poirier, Diaz, and Daniel Cormier. But according to McGregor, he’s having more fun watching Diaz troll Poirier.

Joe McDonagh - August 12, 2021

Adam D Martin - August 9, 2021

Nate Diaz continued to mock his UFC rival Conor McGregor while also suggesting that he will show the Irishman how to beat Dustin Poirier. Diaz took to his social media on Monday afternoon to make two tweets mocking both McGregor and Poirier while suggesting he knows what it takes to defeat “The Diamond.”

Nate Diaz and Tony Ferguson troll Khabib Nurmagomedov over his Street Fighting comments

Chris Taylor - August 7, 2021

Khabib Nurmagomedov may be happily retired but that hasn’t stopped his longtime rivals like Nate Diaz and Tony Ferguson from talking trash. Both Diaz and Ferguson have a storied history with the now former UFC lightweight champion. Tony and Khabib were actually booked to fight on five different occasions, however none of those contests ever came to fruition due to injuries and weight misses suffered by both fighters.

Chris Taylor - August 2, 2021

Nick Diaz was in attendance to watch his younger brother Nate battle Leon Edwards in a five-round welterweight contest at June’s UFC 263 event. Nate (20-13 MMA) was returning to action that evening for the first time since suffering a TKO loss (doctors stoppage) to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244 in November of 2019.

Nate Diaz responds after being labelled a "fake gangster" by Gilbert Burns

Chris Taylor - July 30, 2021

Nate Diaz has responded after being labelled a “bitch ass fake gangster” by top UFC welterweight contender Gilbert Burns. Burns (20-4 MMA) returned to the win column earlier this month at UFC 264, where he defeated former welterweight title challenger Stephen Thompson by way of unanimous decision. Following his victory over ‘Wonderboy’, the Brazilian proceeded to callout a number of fighters including Jorge Masvidal, Leon Edwards and the aforementioned Nate Diaz.

Colby Covington trashes "loser" Leon Edwards after beating Nate Diaz: "There's no honor in beating a guy like that"

Adam Martin - July 25, 2021

UFC welterweight Colby Covington trashed “loser” Leon Edwards after beating Nate Diaz, saying “there’s no honor in beating a guy like that.” Edwards defeated Diaz via unanimous decision at UFC 263 in June, but while the Brit clearly won the first four rounds of the fight, most fans only remember the fifth round where Diaz rocked “Rocky” with a big punch and nearly finished him. In the end, Edwards was awarded the win and he is now officially on a top-10 fight unbeaten streak, which is why he believes he should be next in line to fight UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. However, Covington is confident that he is deserving of being next for the belt.

Gilbert Burns reiterates callouts to Leon Edwards, Jorge Masvidal, and Nate Diaz

Adam D Martin - July 21, 2021

UFC welterweight contender Gilbert Burns reiterated his callouts to divisional rivals Leon Edwards, Jorge Masvidal, and Nate Diaz. Earlier this month at UFC 264, Burns defeated Stephen Thompson via unanimous decision, and then used his post-fight interview as an opportunity to call out Edwards, Masvidal, and Diaz. It’s been a few weeks since then and we haven’t heard any of these other fighters say they will accept Burns’ callout. That’s why “Durinho” took to his social media on Wednesday and once again called out Edwards, Masvidal, and Diaz for an upcoming fight.

Nate Diaz hints at headlining another UFC card at Madison Square Garden: "I might have to do that again soon"

Cole Shelton - July 19, 2021

Nate Diaz is looking to fight again and wants it to be at Madison Square Garden. Back at UFC 244 in November of 2019, Diaz headlined the pay-per-view card at MSG against Jorge Masvidal for the BMF belt. It was a big fight and massive event, and now the fan-favorite Stockton native says he might have to headline another card at MSG.

Dustin Poirier responds to middleweight challenge from Nate Diaz

Chris Taylor - July 15, 2021

Dustin Poirier has responded after receiving a middleweight challenge from fellow UFC superstar Nate Diaz. Poirier (28-6 MMA) emerged victorious in his rubber match against Conor McGregor at last Saturday’s UFC 264 event and is now expected to be the first man to challenge newly crowned lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.

Gilbert Burns says it would be "easy money" to fight Nate Diaz

Adam D Martin - July 8, 2021

UFC welterweight contender Gilbert Burns said it would be “easy money” if he were to step into the Octagon and fight against Nate Diaz. Burns takes on Stephen Thompson in the co-main event of Saturday’s UFC 264 pay-per-view card. Coming off of a TKO loss to UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, Burns is eager to get back into the Octagon and get back into the win column, and inch closer back to getting a title shot. But while Burns is focused on getting back to the title, he can’t help but look at the other fighters at 170lbs and wonder how those fights would play out.

Jason Miller

Jason Miller shares his thoughts on Nate Diaz’s fighting future: “Should he have a title shot right now, nah. But…”

Adam D Martin - June 25, 2021

Former UFC fighter Jason Miller shares his thoughts on Nate Diaz’s fighting future, suggesting the route he could take towards a title shot. Miller has been back in the MMA news as of late and during a recent interview, he spoke about the UFC welterweight division and what Diaz has to do in order to get a title shot. Despite the fact that Diaz lost a unanimous decision to Leon Edwards at UFC 263 earlier this month, his star power has never been higher as he nearly came back in the fifth round of that fight, and that’s what all the fans are remembering. So despite the fact that Diaz is currently on a two-fight losing skid to Jorge Masvidal and to Edwards, the fact that he is such a popular fighter is keeping his name in the UFC welterweight title conversation.

Leon Edwards fires back at Gilbert Burns for suggesting he “wasn’t hungry” in fight with Nate Diaz: “You got knocked out with a jab”

Adam D Martin - June 23, 2021

Leon Edwards fired back at Gilbert Burns for suggesting he “wasn’t hungry” in the Nate Diaz fight, saying “you got knocked out with a jab.” Edwards won a unanimous decision over Diaz at UFC 263 earlier this month, but he wasn’t able to get the finish and nearly got stopped himself during a crazy fifth round of action. Although Edwards got his hand raised, UFC president Dana White stopped short of committing to giving him the next title shot despite being on a 10-fight unbeaten streak at the moment. White instead said that Colby Covington is next in line to fight UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. But one has to wonder if Edwards was able to go out there and finish Diaz if he would have been granted the title shot instead of Covington.

Nate Diaz unloads on “amateur” Gilbert Burns following his criticism of Leon Edwards' performance at UFC 263

Adam D Martin - June 23, 2021

UFC welterweight superstar Nate Diaz unloaded on “amateur” Gilbert Burns following his criticism of Leon Edwards’ performance at UFC 263. Edwards won a unanimous decision over Diaz at UFC 263 earlier this month. After winning the first four rounds of the fight, Diaz rocked Edwards in the fifth round with a Stockton slap followed by a straight left, and that’s the moment of the fight that most fans seem to remember about the match. Instead of Edwards going 10 straight fights without losing and earning a title shot against UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, many fans were disappointed that Edwards wasn’t able to go out there and put the finishing touches on Diaz, and there are some people who think that Edwards’ stock actually went down.

Cole Shelton - June 22, 2021

Kamaru Usman has responded to Nate Diaz after his recent criticism. Diaz took to social media on Tuesday to blast the welterweight champ for only fighting opponents he already beat and knocked out. Usman was criticized for the rematch due to the fact he dominated Masvidal less than a year prior.

Nate Diaz criticizes Kamaru Usman's fight booking

Cole Shelton - June 22, 2021

Nate Diaz isn’t a fan of Kamaru Usman and the opponents he is facing. At UFC 261, Usman rematched Jorge Masvidal not even a year after dominating him on Fight Island to defend his belt. Yet, “Gamebred” took the fight on just six days’ notice and had to fly around the world. Usman wanted the chance to prove how much better he was and did so in dramatic fashion as he KO’d Masvidal out cold, yet for Diaz, he isn’t impressed.
