Adam D Martin - June 9, 2021

Ngannou is far from the only UFC fighter to openly question fighter pay, but he is one of the most prominent as he’s the UFC heavyweight champion. In an interview with Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports, Diaz fired back at Ngannou for his recent pay complaints, suggesting that he should have listened to Diaz a long time ago when it came to the fighter pay in the UFC.

Adam D Martin - May 25, 2021

UFC welterweight superstar Nate Diaz has been taking full advantage of the UFC’s marijuana policy change ahead of his return to the Octagon. Diaz returns to the Octagon at UFC 263 on June 12 for a five-round welterweight bout against top contender Leon Edwards. The two were supposed to fight at UFC 262 last month, but the fight was forced back a month after Diaz suffered a minor injury during his training camp. Ahead of his fight with Edwards, Diaz has been taking full advantage of the UFC’s marijuana policy change, as weed is no longer something that will get fighters in trouble with the promotion or with USADA. With the fight against Edwards taking place in Arizona and not in Nevada, where they still test for marijuana, Diaz should be good to go.

Jake Paul claims he would finish Nate Diaz in three rounds

Adam Martin - April 18, 2021

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul claims that he would finish UFC welterweight Nate Diaz in three rounds if they ever meet in the boxing ring. Paul fought Ben Askren in the main event of the Triller Fight Club boxing match on Saturday night. It turned out to be an easy night at the office for Paul, as he finished Askren in the first minute of the fight with a knockout. For Paul, it was the type of big-name win that will surely lead to him coaxing other MMA fighters and boxers into accepting a fight against him. Considering how much money Askren made to take a punch in the fight, it would stand to figure that there are many other fighters who are interested in fighting Paul next. But if it was up to Paul, one of the names he would want is Diaz.

Conor McGregor attempts to smear UFC rival Nate Diaz with accusations of steroid use

Adam D Martin - April 18, 2021

UFC superstar Conor McGregor attempted to smear his longtime rival Nate Diaz with accusations of past steroid use from the Stockton native. McGregor took to social media where he noted that USADA has tested him twice this week, which he had no problem doing. What bothers McGregor, however, is two-fold. One, he doesn’t like that USADA changed the rules so that failed drug tests don’t come out immediately until the athlete goes through a process. And two, there have been a lot of fighters who have tested positive only to be vindicated due to tainted supplements.
