Garry stepped up on short notice to take a main event slot against Carlos Prates this past Saturday at UFC Kansas City. While Prates was preparing for Geoff Neal, “The Future” entered the fray when Neal suffered an injury. Garry looked sharp for most of the fight, but he had to overcome a late scare to take the unanimous decision victory.

The UFC is headed back to Atlanta, Georgia, and UFC CEO Dana White has announced the main and co-main event. Taking to Instagram Live, White announced that the main event of the card will see former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman taking on Joaquin Buckley. The event will take place on June 14 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

He plans on taking out Carlos Prates which, if you’ve seen the Brazilian fight, is going to be no easy task. It may well be the toughest bout of the Irishman’s career to date, and that’s saying something given that he’s battled Shavkat Rakhmonov – although, Shavkat was reportedly injured at least during some of that fight.

The reigning UFC Welterweight Champion has traded barbs with the likes of Conor McGregor, UFC Middleweight Champion Dricus du Plessis, Leon Edwards, and his UFC 315 opponent Jack Della Maddalena. Recently, a false rumor spread claiming that Maddalena needed to raise money to fly his coaches to Montreal for the title fight against Muhammad.
