It’s an intriguing move as it comes after Moreno lost his flyweight belt to Deiveson Figueiredo in the trilogy. For Cejudo, he says it’s about time the Mexican left his team and coach.

Henry Cejudo has shared a prediction for Conor McGregor’s return. The former UFC dual-weight champion, McGregor, has been out of the cage since UFC 264 in July 2021. The Irishman lost his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier via injury after breaking his leg. Now, McGregor is seemingly set to return this summer, with training videos already rolling out.

Despite his recent talk of coming out of retirement, Henry Cejudo doesn’t think he’ll get the chance to compete again. The former UFC dual-weight champion retired following a win over Dominick Cruz at UFC 249. However, almost immediately following the victory, he began discussing a comeback. He’s been angling for a fight with Alexander Volkanovski at featherweight for the past few months. However, he’s been shot down by Dana White every time the bout is brought up.

Henry Cejudo, (16-2 MMA) retired after successfully defending his UFC bantamweight title by TKO over Dominick Cruz (24-3 MMA) in the second round at UFC 249 in May of 2020. Conor McGregor (22-6 MMA) is preparing himself for a UFC comeback after a broken ankle which he suffered during his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier (28-7 MMA). It was at UFC 264, in July of 2021, where McGregor went down to defeat against Poirier and suffered his injury. Poirier has been victorious in 2 of the 3 fights between the two.

Last Saturday night at UFC 272, Jorge Masvidal fell short in his attempt to defeat friend-turned-foe Colby Covington in their Las Vegas main event. While he did have a few nice moments, which included dropping Covington in the fourth round, he wasn’t able to capitalise and ultimately came up on the wrong end of a unanimous decision defeat.

The two champions have gone back and forth over the past few years. ‘The Last Stylebender’ intended to eventually move up to challenge ‘Bones’ for a 205-pound grudge match. Henry Cejudo says he reached out to Cody Garbrandt to give him some advice amid his recent skid. Garbrandt is coming off a KO loss to Kai Kara-France at UFC 269 in his UFC flyweight debut. It was his second loss in a row and he is now just 1-5 since winning the bantamweight title back at UFC 207 in December of 2016. Out of those five losses, he has also been knocked out in four of them, so for Cejudo, he believes Garbrandt needs to get back to his technical self that he was against Dominick Cruz.

Cejudo (16-2 MMA), retired from the UFC back in May of 2020 after beating Dominick Cruz at UFC 249.
