UFC CEO Dana White has joined Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta. It’s no secret that the 55-year-old promoter has been attempting to expand his business portfolio lately. After over two decades as the face of the UFC, Dana White founded the slap-fighting league ‘PowerSlap’ in early 2023. While that promotion has largely received negative reviews, he has no plans of shutting down the league.

Some are sports-related and some aren’t, but perhaps the most fascinating was his purchase of a prized bull called Twisted Steel.

Covington shared the Octagon with Joaquin Buckley inside Amalie Arena this past Saturday night. “Chaos” was outmatched on the feet despite his toughness. While Covington was able to get Buckley down on the mat, his control didn’t last long. “New Mansa” also had effective takedown defense and opened up a cut on Covington’s eyelid.

Dana White and the UFC brass on working on something for Dustin Poirier as “The Diamond” nears the end of his prizefighting career. Poirier has been hinting at his next fight being his last, as the soon-to-be 36-year-old isn’t interested in climbing back up the 155-pound ladder in hopes of securing a final title opportunity. In all likelihood, Poirier had his last UFC championship bout against Islam Makhachev back in June. “The Diamond” was submitted in the fifth round despite a hard-fought effort.

Jones is the reigning UFC heavyweight champion, while Aspinall holds the interim gold. “Bones” has said that if he’s expected to fight Aspinall then he wants a substantial payday. He’s publicly shown more interest in fighting UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira, which White has been opposed to due to the size difference.

UFC President Dana White is open to working with RIZIN after Kai Asakaura’s debut over the weekend. On Saturday night in Las Vegas, the former two-time RIZIN bantamweight champion made his promotional debut. In the main event of UFC 310, Kai Asakura met longtime flyweight champion, Alexandre Pantoja. With ‘The Cannibal’ having beaten most of the top ten, Dana White gave the Japanese star a title shot in his debut.

Dana White has reacted to Merab Dvalishvili’s latest incident with a fan. Dvalishvili was in attendance for UFC 310 in support of his teammate Aljamain Sterling. On the preliminary portion of the card, Sterling dropped a unanimous decision to Movsar Evloev in a competitive fight. Dvalishvili ended up getting physical with a fan in the stands, something that has become common for the reigning UFC bantamweight champion.

A Dublin court recently found McGregor liable for sexual assault stemming from an alleged incident back in 2018. The verdict has led to McGregor being pulled from numerous sponsorship deals. He’s no longer the face of the Proper No. 12 Irish Whiskey brand, and has been pulled from the Hitman video game franchise as a DLC character.

Ending a nearly two-year layoff, Jon Jones made his first heavyweight title defense against Stipe Miocic. For the 42-year-old former champion, the bout was his first since being brutally knocked out by Francis Ngannou in early 2021.

UFC star Conor McGregor has been found civically liable of rape in Ireland, and his combat sports rival Jake Paul was one of the first to react to the disturbing news. Over the last week, McGregor has been embroiled in a highly publicized civil trial stemming from an 2018 incident at a Dublin hotel, during which he was alleged to have sexually assaulted a woman named Nikita Hand. The “alleged” stipulation is no longer required, as far as Dublin’s High Court is concerned, after jurors sided with Hand on Nov. 22.
