UFC lightweight contender Bobby Green has mixed emotions after his win over Tony Ferguson. ‘King’ made his return to the cage on Saturday night at UFC 291 opposite ‘El Cucuy’. Entering the fight, the former interim lightweight champion was riding a five-fight losing streak, losing to names such as Michael Chandler and Nate Diaz in that stretch. Meanwhile, Bobby Green entered on a three-fight winless streak but was still a massive favorite.

On Saturday night, Bobby Green battled it out with Jared Gordon. While Green was originally awarded a TKO finish, it was later turned into a no contest due to an accidental headbutt on Gordon. In the aftermath, Bobby was infuriated with the decision – and he was also pretty upset by Paul Felder’s commentary.

The veteran has been fighting as a pro since 2008 and has fought 44 times as a pro, including 20 times in the UFC. Shortly after announcing his next fight would be his last, Green was booked to face Jared Gordon at UFC Vegas 71.

The bout will be Makhachev’s first title defense since winning the title last October against Charles Oliveira. ‘Do Bronx’ wound up losing by second-round submission, ending his historic winning streak.

Green (29-13-1 MMA) and Miller (35-16 MMA) were supposed to collide back on July 2 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. However, ‘King’ withdrew from the fight due to undisclosed reasons and was eventually replaced by Donald ‘Cowboy‘ Cerrone.

Green, meanwhile, stepped up on 10 days’ notice after Beneil Dariush was forced out of the bout, marking his second fight in just 14 days.
