Ferguson (25-8 MMA) will enter the contest with hopes of snapping his current five-fight losing streak. ‘El Cucuy’ suffered a submission loss to Nate Diaz in his most recent effort at UFC 279. The 39-year-old picked up his most recent win back in June of 2019, when he defeated Donald Cerrone by way of TKO.

Tony Ferguson says he is now fighting for himself and no one else. Ferguson is set to return to the lightweight division at UFC 291 as he faces Bobby Green. It’s an intriguing matchup as ‘El Cucuy’ has struggled as of late. Ferguson has lost five in a row, but outside of Nate Diaz in his last fight, he has only lost to top-five fighters. Before losing to Diaz, he suffered losses to Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveira, Beneil Dariush, and Michael Chandler.

Bobby Green has taken aim at his former opponent Jared Gordon. Green and Gordon fought at UFC Vegas 71 back in April as both men were looking to get back into the win column. Unfortunately, in the first round, Green dropped Gordon with an accidental clash of heads and knocked him out with some ground and pound. Despite the finish, the fight was ultimately overturned to a No Contest.

UFC commentator Paul Felder has issued an apology after being threatened by Bobby Green for what went down at UFC Vegas 71 last weekend. On Saturday night, Bobby Green battled it out with Jared Gordon. While Green was originally awarded a TKO finish, it was later turned into a no contest due to an accidental headbutt on Gordon. In the aftermath, Bobby was infuriated with the decision – and he was also pretty upset by Paul Felder’s commentary.

Bobby Green was none too pleased with the result of his UFC Vegas 71 bout against Jared Gordon. Green initially appeared to score a knockout victory over Gordon late in the first round after putting him out with some ground and pound. As it turns out, “King” Green and Gordon clashed heads, so the bout was ultimately ruled a no contest. This didn’t sit well with Bobby Green, who was visibly frustration during his post-fight media scrum. Green was asked how he was feeling about the result.

Tonight’s UFC Vegas 71 main card includes a lightweight scrap featuring Bobby Green taking on Jared Gordon. Green (29-14-1 MMA) will enter the contest with hopes of snapping his two-fight losing skid. ‘King’ is coming off back-to-back stoppage losses to Drew Dober and Islam Makhachev respectively. Prior to those setbacks, the 36-year-old was coming off wins over Al Iaquinta and Nasrat Haqparast.

The veteran has been fighting as a pro since 2008 and has fought 44 times as a pro, including 20 times in the UFC. Shortly after announcing his next fight would be his last, Green was booked to face Jared Gordon at UFC Vegas 71.

The highly anticipated 160lbs catchweight contest proved to be the one-sided affair that many fans and pundits were expecting. Islam Makhachev was able to get the fight to the floor early in the opening frame and quickly proceeded to move to mount. From there, the Russian unloaded a plethora of ground and pound which forced the referee to step in and call off the contest.
