We have you covered for all of tonight’s UFC 291 results, including the lightweight scrap between Tony Ferguson and Bobby Green. Ferguson (25-8 MMA) will enter the contest with hopes of snapping his current five-fight losing streak. ‘El Cucuy’ suffered a submission loss to Nate Diaz in his most recent effort at UFC 279. The 39-year-old picked up his most recent win back in June of 2019, when he defeated Donald Cerrone by way of TKO.

Tony Ferguson says he is now fighting for himself and no one else. Ferguson is set to return to the lightweight division at UFC 291 as he faces Bobby Green. It’s an intriguing matchup as ‘El Cucuy’ has struggled as of late. Ferguson has lost five in a row, but outside of Nate Diaz in his last fight, he has only lost to top-five fighters. Before losing to Diaz, he suffered losses to Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveira, Beneil Dariush, and Michael Chandler.

Bobby Green has taken aim at his former opponent Jared Gordon. Green and Gordon fought at UFC Vegas 71 back in April as both men were looking to get back into the win column. Unfortunately, in the first round, Green dropped Gordon with an accidental clash of heads and knocked him out with some ground and pound. Despite the finish, the fight was ultimately overturned to a No Contest.

UFC commentator Paul Felder has issued an apology after being threatened by Bobby Green for what went down at UFC Vegas 71 last weekend. On Saturday night, Bobby Green battled it out with Jared Gordon. While Green was originally awarded a TKO finish, it was later turned into a no contest due to an accidental headbutt on Gordon. In the aftermath, Bobby was infuriated with the decision – and he was also pretty upset by Paul Felder’s commentary.

Bobby Green was none too pleased with the result of his UFC Vegas 71 bout against Jared Gordon. Green initially appeared to score a knockout victory over Gordon late in the first round after putting him out with some ground and pound. As it turns out, “King” Green and Gordon clashed heads, so the bout was ultimately ruled a no contest. This didn’t sit well with Bobby Green, who was visibly frustration during his post-fight media scrum. Green was asked how he was feeling about the result.

Prior to those setbacks, the 36-year-old was coming off wins over Al Iaquinta and Nasrat Haqparast.

Bobby Green won’t actually be retiring after UFC Vegas 71 after all. After Green suffered a knockout loss to Drew Dober, he revealed his next fight would serve as his retirement bout. The veteran has been fighting as a pro since 2008 and has fought 44 times as a pro, including 20 times in the UFC. Shortly after announcing his next fight would be his last, Green was booked to face Jared Gordon at UFC Vegas 71.

Green (29-13-1 MMA), who has not competed since suffering a first round TKO loss to Islam Makhachev in February, took to social media where he sounded off on USADA officials.

Bobby ‘King’ Green has weighed in on Jorge Masvidal attacking Colby Covington. It was only a couple of weeks after Colby Covington (17-3 MMA) defeated Jorge Masvidal (35-16 MMA) at UFC 272 in March of this year, that Masvidal allegedly ambushed ‘Chaos’ outside a Papi Steak restaurant in Miami, Florida. The incident ended with Colby being sucker punched by ‘Gamebred‘ in the face twice, suffering a broken tooth, plus he sustained damage to his $90K Rolex watch.

Moicano stepped up on short notice to fight Rafael dos Anjos in a five-round fight at UFC 272, but wound up losing a lopsided decision. Renato suffered a ton of damage during the contest, with many viewers thinking the fight could’ve been stopped, but the Brazilian says he’s looking to return this summer and hopes it will be in a main event.

Bobby Green didn’t take long to react to his UFC Vegas 49 defeat at the hands of Islam Makhachev. Green stepped up as a late replacement when Beneil Dariush went down with an injury. He shared the Octagon with Makhachev inside the UFC Apex on Feb. 26. It didn’t take long for Makhachev to score the takedown and work his magic to nab the TKO finish.

The Octagon remained in Nevada for today’s UFC Vegas 49 event, an eleven-bout fight card headlined by Islam Makhachev vs. Bobby Green. The highly anticipated 160lbs catchweight contest proved to be the one-sided affair that many fans and pundits were expecting. Islam Makhachev was able to get the fight to the floor early in the opening frame and quickly proceeded to move to mount. From there, the Russian unloaded a plethora of ground and pound which forced the referee to step in and call off the contest.
