Raul Rosas Jr. will no longer be preparing for the penultimate fight of the night spot at this year’s Noche UFC after being forced to withdraw from the card. In news first reported by Wristlock MMA, the man who utters ‘Chiwiwis’ will now no longer be competing on September 13th. The UFC Fight Night 259 bout for Rosas Jr. was planned to be against Rob Font but the former will no longer be in the co-main event spot. Sources told Mike Heck of MMA Fighting that the promotion is actively looking for a repalcement opponent for Font inside Frost Bank Arena in San Antonio but no one has been confirmed, as of this writing.

Aljamain Sterling emerged victorious at UFC Shanghai, but some damage was done. Sterling had a one-sided showing against Brian Ortega in their five-round featherweight clash. It was a clean sweep for “Funkmaster,” who secured 50-45 scores from all three judges. It was a big win for Sterling, who now finds himself in the top five featherweight rankings.

A former UFC bantamweight title challenger has booked their return bout with the goal of returning to the win column after a four-fight drought. Mayra Bueno Silva is set to clash with surging star Jacqueline Cavalcanti at a UFC Fight Night card set to transpire in Las Vegas on November 8th. The news of this bout booking was confirmed by MMA Fighting after confirmation from multiple sources following an initial report by Ag. Fight. The promotion has yet to formally announce the card overall, which means there is no set main event for the Fight Night offering at this juncture. This will be a quicker turnaround of fortunes for Silva, who was booked to fight Joselyne Edwards earlier this month prior to withdrawing from the contest.

There was significant buzz for Mingyang going into the fight, and many thought this would be a statement-making win for the hone country hero. Walker had other plans, and he secured a second-round TKO finish.

Dana White was none too pleased with “The Baddy” being allowed inside the cage once Topuria’s fight was over.

As we know, Bryan Battle was recently released by the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Despite being seen as someone who can go pretty far in the company, a handful of instances in which he missed weight ultimately led to him being released from his contract. While he’s already getting back to work with Dirty Boxing, not being in the UFC anymore is obviously a blow for him.

He fell short in his title fight against Khamzat Chimaev and while some believe an immediate rematch could be on the cards, the majority are of the opinion that he needs to win a fight or two in order to earn his way back there.

Tracy Cortez has a big sequel clash in her future and will reportedly returning to the octagon at UFC 322 to take part in that. Over six years since their initial meeting under the Invicta FC banner, Cortez will be running things back with Erin Blanchfield but this time in the UFC’s octagon on a targeted November 15th card. This news was first reported on by MMA Junkie. While the promotion has not officially announced this card, the expectation is that it will transpire on this date and from the world’s most famous arena. Madison Square Garden will play host to this consequential contest at flyweight with Cortez and Blanchfield occupying the number eight and number four rankings spots at 125 pounds, as of this writing.

Sean Strickland doesn’t believe Raja Jackson should go to jail over his alleged assault during a wrestling event. Jackson, the son of Rampage Jackson, was involved in a wrestling incident that was streamed on Kick. Jackson entered the ring and slammed Skyo Stu to the mat and landed over 20 shots, which put Stu out. As Stu was knocked out, Jackson continued to land punches before being pulled off him.

A former UFC bruiser has weighed in on the horrific incident involving Raja Jackson during an independent wrestling show. Raja, who is the son of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, was a guest for KnokX Pro Wrestling this past weekend. Raja was filmed backstage when he had an incident with wrestler Skyo Stu. Raja was mistaken for an in-ring talent, and Stu used what appeared to be a gimmicked beer can to hit him in the head.
