Henry Cejudo has opened as the betting favorite for his UFC 292 fight against Marlon Vera. Earlier this week, Dana White announced that Cejudo would return at UFC 292 on August 19 in Boston against Vera. It’s an intriguing matchup as ‘Triple C’ looks to rebound from his loss to Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight title following his return fight from retirement.

Last October when Paul and Silva boxed, the brash YouTuber-turned-boxer made a deal with the former UFC champ that if he won, Silva would have to help him with an MMA fighter union. Ultimately, it was Paul who won by decision, but since then there has been no talk of the fighter union.

Former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez is ready to return against Michael Chandler. ‘Iron Mike’ is still waiting for his clash with Conor McGregor. ‘The Notorious’ coached the latest season of the show alongside Michael Chandler, with a fight expected for December. However, due to the Irishman’s USADA issues, the contest remains in jeopardy.

Junior dos Santos and Fabricio Werdum will fight again. Dos Santos and Werdum fought back at UFC 90 in 2008 with ‘JDS’ winning by TKO in just 80 seconds. Since then, both went on to become UFC heavyweight champion for a period, but neither man is still fighting with the promotion.

Unofficial staredown scorer Michael Bisping thinks he knows who had the edge in the faceoff between UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones and PFL star Francis Ngannou. Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou ran into each other during the PFL 5 event recently. The two were sizing each other up during their staredown. While it was a cool moment for MMA fans, the reality has quickly set in. This fight will not be taking place after Ngannou and the UFC couldn’t come to terms on a new contract.

UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski believes he’ll get the better of Islam Makhachev in a rematch. Earlier this year, Alexander Volkanovski challenged Islam Makhachev for the UFC Lightweight Championship. It was a highly competitive title fight that went the distance. Ultimately, Makhachev was awarded the close, but unanimous decision victory to maintain his hold on the 155-pound gold.

The rumor mill is currently suggesting that Henry Cejudo will return to action to battle Marlon Vera later this summer. In doing so, he’ll attempt to vault himself back into contention in the UFC’s bantamweight title picture.

Dating back to UFC London last year, Ilia Topuria and Paddy Pimblett have had a big problem with one another. Right now, Conor McGregor has bigger things on his plate than fighting as a result of the recent accusations against him. With that being said, a lot of fans are still curious to see whether or not he’ll be competing against Michael Chandler – as was rumored to be the case.

Della Maddalena was someone not many people were eager to fight, but Brown is always up for the challenge, so he took the offer to fight him. Unfortunately, he suffered a first-round stoppage loss, and right away, he was asking the UFC to get him another fight.

Josh Emmett thinks Ilia Topuria is a great matchup for him. Emmett is set to headline UFC Jacksonville on Saturday against Topuria in a very intriguing featherweight matchup. Emmett is coming off a stoppage loss to Yair Rodriguez for the interim featherweight title and although it was a tough loss, he is making a quick turnaround to face Topuria.

Kelvin Gastelum is ready to fight Shavkat Rakhmonov next time out. After Gastelum announced he would be making the move to welterweight, Rakhmonov quickly called him out on social media. Although Gastelum did not immediately respond as he was on vacation, the TUF 17 winner has said he wants that fight and hopes it can happen on the Mexican Independence card on September 16.

Francis Ngannou seemingly doesn’t care for the UFC’s attempt to make Jon Jones vs. Tyson Fury. Over the last few weeks ‘Bones’ and ‘The Gypsy King’ have been going back and forth. While the boxer first only showed interest in competing in the boxing ring, he’s changed his tune a little bit. In recent days, Tyson Fury has shown interest in facing Jon Jones in a potential two-fight deal.

The bout was Kai Kara-France’s first since coming up short against Brandon Moreno for interim gold last July. As the headliner, he faced Amir Albazi. In the flyweight main event, many felt that the New Zealander did much of the better work.
