Johnny Eblen knew Anatoly Tokov would be next for him. Eblen became Bellator’s middleweight champion last June with a dominant decision win over Gegard Mousasi. After the win, Eblen didn’t know when he would fight but after the Nemkov-Romero scrap was called off, he figured his first title defense would be added to Bellator 290.

Devin Clark was excited to go to South Korea to face Da Un Jung. When Clark originally got the matchup to face Jung the bout was set to be in Seoul, South Korea. It was a trip Clark was looking forward to as he wanted to see a different part of the world, but just before Christmas he got word the event was moving to Las Vegas.

Michael Chandler knows a fight against Conor McGregor would be exciting, but he doesn’t think it would last long. Chandler has called out McGregor ever since he got to the UFC and Dana White has come out and said it is a fight he wants to make. Although it hasn’t happened yet, Chandler believes the timing makes sense now for the two to coach The Ultimate Fighter and then fight afterward.

Former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira is showing off his new back piece tattoo. Oliveira (33-9 MMA) last fought in October of last year at UFC 280 where he was defeated by Islam Makhachev (23-1 MMA) in a bout for the promotion’s lightweight championship. Prior to that setback, Oliveira had strung together 11 wins in a row.

In that outing in New York City, the two lightweights put on a ‘Fight of the Year’ contender. In round three, ‘The Diamond’ wrapped up a rear-naked choke to earn the submission win.

Usman was on his way to winning until Edwards landed the kick with a minute left in the fight, and now, ahead of the trilogy at UFC 286, the Brit expects Usman to wrestle early and often, yet he is still confident he will win the fight by stoppage again.
