Last week, Francis Ngannou officially signed his contract with PFL and he is expected to debut in 2024, as well as getting to be an executive in PFL Africa among others. Although all the details weren’t out there, UFC president, Dana White was surprised by PFL’s deal as he doesn’t think the promotion knows what they are doing.

UFC President Dana White is open to promoting Jon Jones vs. Tyson Fury. Recently, Fury and Jones took aim at one another and both called for a fight to happen. Despite their mutual interest, the super-fight seemed highly improbable as ‘Bones’ is currently under contract with the UFC and Dana White has made it clear that he doesn’t like “gimmick fights”. However, in surprising fashion, the UFC boss says he is interested in cross-promoting this potential fight.

UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling was celebrated in Nassau County earlier today. ‘The Funk Master’ is fresh off his return against Henry Cejudo earlier this month. The two headlined UFC 288, as ‘Triple C’ competed for the first time in over three years. In the pay-per-view main event, Sterling scored a split-decision victory over the former champion to retain his title.

UFC commentator Michael Bisping has revealed that he’s been getting a lot of DM’s from Jake Paul lately. ‘The Problem Child’ has been out of the ring since his split-decision loss to Tommy Fury in February. Following the loss, the YouTuber announced his plans to activate his rematch clause with ‘TNT’. However, he seemingly changed his mind and opted for a fight with Nate Diaz.

Weeks following the victory, he announced his plans to drop back down to the welterweight division.

That bout was his second straight loss to ‘Rocky’, and took the Nigerian out of the title picture for the time being. As such, Usman decided to make a spirited callout earlier this month.

Nate Diaz claims Khabib Nurmagomedov avoided a rematch with Conor McGregor. Nurmagomedov and McGregor fought in the main event of UFC 229. It was the Irishman’s return to MMA after boxing Floyd Mayweather, while Khabib was looking to defend his 155lbs title for the first time. The build-up was full of trash talk and in the fight, it was Nurmagomedov who won by fourth-round submission.

UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski has zero desire in a potential fourth fight with Max Holloway. The history between arguably the two greatest featherweights in UFC history dates back to 2019, when Volkanovski first attained the title at UFC 254, snapping Holloway’s fourteen-fight unbeaten streak at 145lbs. Since then, the pair have met a further twice, with the Australian edging a split decision at UFC 251 and then putting on a clinic at UFC 276 to go (3-0) over the former champ.

Five months after his UFC exit, “The Predator” signed with the PFL. With the deal, Ngannou’s first opponent under the PFL banner is expected to earn $2 million.
