Nathaniel Wood has respectfully expressed his desire to share the Octagon with Edson Barboza. Wood was in action this past Saturday (July 22). He went one-on-one with Andre Fili on the main card of UFC London. This was a close one, but “The Prospect” emerged victorious over Fili via unanimous decision. This is the third win in a row for Wood.

Could Michael Page be making his way to the UFC? Page has been a mainstay under the Bellator banner since 2014. Page’s most recent contract with the promotion is up and he plans on testing the free agent market. Page turned 36 back in April, so he’ll likely want to make the most money possible at this point in his career.

Andre Fili didn’t get his hand raised against Nathaniel Wood, and he has something to say about it. Fili and Wood shared the Octagon this past Saturday (July 22) on the main card of UFC London. The featherweight contest went the distance, and Wood was awarded the unanimous decision win. Wood received 29-28 scores from all three judges sitting Octagon-side.

The beef between Colby Covington and Jon Jones is alive and well. Over the years, Covington hasn’t been shy about slamming Jones in the media. “Chaos” has made things personal with his former college roommate. Covington has slammed Jones over his past legal issues and the picogram fiasco. He’s even urged the UFC Heavyweight Champion to, “Go do some more coke. Go cheat on your wife some more,” before calling Jones a “dirtbag” back in 2017.

Former UFC fighter Alan Belcher has defeated Chase DeMoor in a Misfits Boxing 8 bout that ended in bizarre fashion. Belcher and DeMoor shared the ring inside the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee on July 22. Belcher was actually supposed to meet Hasim Rahman Jr. on the Misfits Boxing 8 card, but DeMoor filled in when Rahman suffered an injury. Things went off the rails when DeMoor’s corner admitted to him that he should be in survival mode. At one point, DeMoor’s corner even urged their fighter to ignore referee Anthony Bryant’s warnings about holding.

Ciryl Gane has issued a warning to Tom Aspinall following the Brit’s impressive first-round victory at UFC London. Aspinall (13-3 MMA) squared off with Marcin Tybura (24-8 MMA) in the headliner of today’s UFC event at the O2 Arena in London, England.

The Octagon returned to England for today’s UFC London event, a fifteen-biout fight card headlined by Tom Aspinall vs. Marcin Tybura. The highly anticipated heavyweight main event proved to be a short-lived affair. Tom Aspinall was able to score an early knockdown thanks to a perfectly timed right hand. From there, the Manchester native proceeded to deliver some heavy ground and pound which forced the referee to step in and call a stop to the action. It was a perfect fight for Aspinall, and one that puts him right back in the heavyweight title picture.

Aspinall (13-3 MMA) was returning to action for the first time in twelve months this afternoon at the O2 Arena, squaring off with fellow heavyweight contender Marcin Tybura. The Manchester native had of course suffered a knee injury which required surgery in his most previous effort against Curtis Blaydes last July. That disappointing setback had snapped Aspinall’s eight-fight winning streak, which included five straight wins inside of the Octagon.

Colby Covington has a reason for why he hasn’t fought since March of 2022. Covington last fought back at UFC 272 when he defeated Jorge Masvidal by decision. Since then, ‘Chaos’ claims he has been trying to get a fight but no one has wanted to fight him, which is why he has been off for over a year and a half. However, according to Covington, he says he was offered both Dustin Poirier and Khamzat Chimaev but they both turned him down.

Former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman recently got some work with Odell Beckham Jr. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ has been out of action since his trilogy bout with Leon Edwards in March. The two headlined UFC 286 in London, as the British fighter ended the rivalry by unanimous decision. The defeat was the second in a row for Kamaru Usman, previously losing to ‘Rocky’ by knockout last August.

Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Rampage Jackson is again targeting Darill Schoonover. The former titleholder was last seen at Bellator 237 against Fedor Emelianenko. In the December 2019 bout, Rampage Jackson suffered a first-round knockout loss. That fight was the last on his Bellator contract, and the promotion declined to re-sign him after the defeat.

Heading into the matchup, the Scouser had a massive amount of hype riding multiple finish victories in the promotion. However, ‘Flash’ gave him a much tougher fight than expected late last year.
