Rousey was a pioneer of women’s MMA, convincing Dana White to introduce the UFC women’s bantamweight division. “Rowdy” was the inaugural UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion. Her bouts were often quick and one-sided, and she became one of the most popular stars in the UFC. Rousey’s dominant run ended when she was knocked out by Holly Holm via head kick. “Rowdy” then suffered a 48-second TKO loss to Amanda Nunes, which was the last bout of her pro MMA career.

Carlos Ulberg emerged victorious at UFC Perth in sensational fashion, and he’s eyeing an emergency backup spot for Oct. 4. Ulberg shared the Octagon with Dominick Reyes inside RAC Arena in Perth this past Saturday. It was a pivotal clash in the light heavyweight division. Ulberg dropped his opponent with a one-two combination and finished it off with follow-up punches for the first-round knockout victory.

More information has been revealed after Wanderlei Silva was brutally knocked out following a disqualification loss. Silva took center stage in the main event of Spaten Fight Night 2. When Vitor Belfort pulled out with an injury, Silva’s new opponent was Acelino Freitas. Things took a bad turn when Silva was disqualified for multiple fouls. A melee between both teams ensued and it ended with Silva being knocked out cold. The man who put Silva to sleep has been identified as Freitas’ son, Rafael.

The pros have reacted to footage of Wanderlei Silva being slept in the midst of a post-fight brawl. Silva competed in the Spaten Fight Night 2 headliner. “The Axe Murderer” took on Acelino Freitas in a boxing match. Silva was disqualified due to a bevy of fouls. A post-fight brawl ensued, and the MMA legend was rocked during the melee. Silva appeared to recover, but he was then knocked out cold.

Jake Matthews and his team will be filing an appeal following his controversial third-round submission loss to Neil Magny at UFC Perth. Late in the first round, Matthews sunk in a guillotine choke, and with one second left, the ref stopped the fight. However, Magny popped right back up and protested, which led to the ref ruling he never actually stopped the fight, and that the bout would continue. Matthews had a solid second round, but Magny rallied and submitted the Aussie in the third round for a comeback win, which resulted in plenty of controversy.

Joe Rogan isn’t sold on things being much different if Dricus du Plessis ever gets a rematch with Khamzat Chimaev. Du Plessis entered UFC 319 as the UFC Middleweight Champion. He defeated Sean Strickland twice, submitted Israel Adesanya, and stopped Robert Whittaker. It’s an impressive resume for “Stillknocks,” but Chimaev didn’t care about any of it. “Borz” handled business, ragdolling and controlling du Plessis throughout their title fight back in August. Chimaev ultimately scored the unanimous decision victory to capture UFC gold for the first time in his career.
