UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones has taken to social media to refute reports that he has been arrested. It was early Saturday morning when Albuquerque-based publication ABQ Raw reported that Jones had been accused of threatening the life of a drug tester at his home in Albuquerque. The publication stated that Jones was “extremely intoxicated” and threatened to kill the tester, even stealing the tester’s cell phone. According to the report, after leaving the residence, the tester met with local police in northeast Albuquerque to report ‘Bones’.

Albuquerque police are investigating UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones after assault allegations from an anti-doping test worker. During a March 30 sample collection at Jones’ residence, the heavyweight titleholder and a female tester got into a heated altercation. Jones allegedly threatened to kill the worker and briefly stole her phone during the incident.

The Octagon returned to Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 90 event, a twelve-bout fight card headlined by Brendan Allen vs. Chris Curtis 2. The highly anticipated middleweight main event rematch resulted in a thrilling five-round affair. Brendan Allen got off to a strong start in the opening five minutes, but Chris Curtis came back strong in round two. After two more rounds of very competitive action, most fans and fighters had the bout scored 2 rounds a piece headed into the fifth and final frame. In the final moments of the final round, ‘All In’ was able to hurt the leg of ‘The Action Man’ during a takedown and proceeded to close out the fight on top.
