Facing reigning welterweight champion Leon Edwards, Colby Covington was thoroughly dominated. After the former interim titleholder lost by unanimous decision, he revealed that he broke his foot early in the contest. Despite the injury, Covington promised to return by the summer.

Former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz wants to avenge a few losses. ‘The Dominator’ is in a weird stage of his career. While the former UFC bantamweight titleholder hasn’t retired from fighting, he’s also been quiet on a return for quite a while. Dominick Cruz last competed in August 2022, facing Marlon Vera. Despite some early success against ‘Chito’, the former champion wound up being knocked out in the fourth round.

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson will officially be a professional boxing match. Last month, it was announced that ‘The Problem Child’ and ‘Iron Mike’ will meet in a boxing match. The two will compete live on Netflix on July 20th, in a fight going down from AT&T Stadium in Dallas. Jake Paul has also revealed that they’re expecting upwards of 96,000 fans in attendance for the fight this summer.

UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier feels there’s momentous reasoning behind Max Holloway’s intended featherweight return after UFC 300. Holloway earned the BMF title by knocking out Justin Gaethje with one second left at UFC 300. After unanimously winning the fight on the judges’ scorecards, Holloway lured Gaethje into a last-second firefight that led to the ‘Knockout of the Year’ frontrunner.

Charly Arnolt became the UFC’s first female Octagon announcer by stepping in for Joe Martinez mid-event at UFC Vegas 91. It wasn’t an easy ask by the UFC on ESPN producers, and Arnolt initially declined the opportunity to make UFC history.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou posted a heartfelt message on social media following the death of his 18-month-old son. On Monday, it was revealed by Cameroonian outlet 237online, that Ngannou’s son passed away at just 18 months old. The cause of death is unknown, but Ngannou’s manager Marquel Martin took to social media to confirm the news.

McGregor stunned the combat sports world when the co-ownership was announced at KnuckleMania IV this past Saturday night. Perry headlined that card, defeating Thiago Alves in one minute via TKO. Perry and McGregor have been cordial with one another, and “Platinum” has the utmost respect for the former two-division UFC champion.

During the KnuckleMania IV broadcast, it was announced that in association with McGregor Sports and Entertainment, the “Notorious” one is a BKFC co-owner. McGregor has long shown his support for bare-knuckle boxing, and he even shared the ring for a fun faceoff with Mike Perry back in April 2023. While Conor wasn’t going to fight for BKFC given his deal with the UFC, “Mystic Mac” is in business with the company that was founded by David Feldman.

Perry was in action this past Saturday, going one-on-one with Thiago Alves. This one didn’t last very long, as Perry put an end to “Pitbull’s” night in just one minute. “Platinum” continues to show off his dominance under bare-knuckle rules. With a record of 6-0, Perry is showing no signs of slowing down.
