Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman has no plans for retirement. The 40-year-old hasn’t been seen in the cage since a controversial clash with Bruno Silva in March. That bout was just the second for Chris Weidman, since shattering his leg against Uriah Hall in 2021. While his fight with Silva saw the former champion commit many, many fouls, he still escaped with a technical decision victory.

Rakhmonov has been pushing for an interim title fight at the UFC’s year-end pay–per-view event on December 7th. His reasoning is that he isn’t sold on Belal Muhammad being fully recovered in six weeks. Interesting names such as Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards have been swirling around within the MMA community of potential matchups for Rakhmonov.

UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping believes Leon Edwards would be a good option to fight Shavkat Rakhmonov next. Rakhmonov is hoping for an interim welterweight title fight at UFC 310. He was initially set to challenge Belal Muhammad for the UFC Welterweight Championship. Plans changed when Muhammad suffered a bone infection in his foot.

UFC star Tracy Cortez has been forced out of her scheduled UFC Tampa encounter with Miranda Maverick. As we know, Tracy Cortez is one of the most intriguing prospects in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The 30-year-old has had a solid run in the promotion up to this point but in her last outing, she fell to a defeat against Rose Namajunas.

As we know, Jon Jones has never truly lost a fight in mixed martial arts. However, on his record, he does have a disqualification defeat next to his name. That came courtesy of an alleged illegal 12-6 elbow move during a fight against Matt Hamill. Ever since then, many of his fans have contested it, claiming it should be overturned to a no contest.

UFC Vegas 100 has taken a hit as former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt is out of his co-main event fight against Miles Johns. Multiple sources informed BJPENN.com on Tuesday night that Garbrandt withdrew from the bout due to undisclosed reasons. The sources say Johns hopes to remain on the card and fight a short-notice opponent on Saturday.

Roy Jones Jr. has shared his prediction for the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul boxing match next weekend. Tyson and Paul are set to box live on Netflix at AT&T Stadium in a professional bout. Although Paul is a -310 favorite while ‘Iron’ is a +240 underdog on FanDuel, Jones Jr. believes Tyson will pull off the upset and could even finish the brash YouTuber-turned-boxer.

Getting hit by UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira is one thing, but getting hit by a bunny costume Pereira adds insult to injury. Pereira successfully defended the UFC light heavyweight title against Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 307 last month. Almost immediately after the win, the UFC matchmakers approached Pereira to potentially headline UFC 310, after Belal Muhammad’s withdrawal due to injury.

Former WEC title challenger and professional boxer Hiromitsu Miura has passed away. A native of Fukuoka, Japan, the longtime welterweight began competing in 2004 in Pancrase. Over the next two years, Hiromitsu Miura compiled a 7-3 professional record, which was enough to sign with the WEC. While the Japanese fighter suffered a loss to Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller in his first outing, he rebounded with back-to-back stoppage wins.

Former UFC star Nate Diaz recently decided to spar with a fan who wanted his autograph. The Stockton native hasn’t been seen in action since a boxing match with Jorge Masvidal earlier this year. The bout took place just five years after ‘Gamebred’ handed Nate Diaz a stoppage loss in the octagon at UFC 244 in New York City. In a rematch in the ring, however, the former fan favorite emerged with a decision victory.

Boxing legend Lennox Lewis has given his take on Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson. ‘The Problem Child’ and ‘Iron Mike’ are currently set to face off later this month, live on Netflix. For Mike Tyson, the boxing match will be his first professional bout since a stoppage loss to Kevin McBride in 2005. Meanwhile, Jake Paul is fresh off a sixth-round knockout victory over BKFC star Mike Perry in July.

Fakhretdinov earned a controversial nod on the judges’ scorecards in his matchup with Carlos Leal at UFC 308 last month. He earned a unanimous decision despite many believing Leal, who was making his UFC debut, deserved the victory over Fakhretdinov.

Michael Chandler believes his UFC 309 rematch with Charles Oliveira is the perfect scenario. Chandler was in for a letdown when he trusted that a mega fight with Conor McGregor would materialize. While the fight was booked to take place earlier this year, an injury sidelined McGregor, who won’t be fighting until at least 2025. Chandler then received a crucial lightweight showdown against Oliveira, which is set to take place inside Madison Square Garden in New York City.
