The Donn Davis-led promotion famously bought Bellator in late 2023, signaling a big move for the company. However, their 2024 offering was a bit of a mixed bag. While names such as Dakota Ditcheva continued to rise, many, many fighters were unhappy. Names such as Patricio Pitbull, Gegard Mousasi, Austin Vanderford and more, all requested and were granted their releases.

Former UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler isn’t saying never on a BKFC fight against Mike Perry. ‘Ruthless’ famously retired following a stunning first-round knockout win over Niko Price in July 2023. The former champion got the storybook ending many fighters crave, but he could wind up fighting again. Earlier this year, Mike Perry called out Robbie Lawler to a fight in the BKFC ring. For his part, ‘Platinum’ hasn’t been in action since his knockout loss to Jake Paul in the boxing ring last July.

Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller has provided a promising update on his former UFC rival Nick Diaz. The former Strikeforce and WEC champion had a rough 2024. Nick Diaz was famously set to end a three-year layoff against Vicente Luque last summer in Abu Dhabi. However, the welterweight withdrew due to unknown reasons, and the bout was rebooked for UFC 310 in December. Sadly, the fight was again canceled. However, this cancellation was far more troubling.

Topuria will officially vacate the 145-pound gold once Alexander Volkanovski vs. Diego Lopes begins. Topuria made the decision to relinquish the featherweight title in favor of moving up to the lightweight division.

Oh, and he also gave Islam Makhachev the toughest fight of his UFC run at lightweight.

Alas, while he did defeat Alex Pereira, the expectation is that we’ll see a rematch sooner rather than later.

Smith believes he’s likely already stayed around for too long but knows the time is now to retire, regardless of the result. Even if Smth turns back the clock and has an incredible performance, he says this retirement is for good.

The organization’s efforts paid off in November, as the Republican nominee defeated then-Vice President Kamala Harris to win a second trip to the White House.

UFC matchmakers were looking to have Shavkat Rakhmonov’s title shot against Muhammad rebooked, but Rakhmonov wasn’t ready due to an injury. Now, Muhammad and Maddalena will share the Octagon inside Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
