UFC welterweight contender Leon Edwards took a jab at Tyron Woodley following his unanimous decision loss to Gilbert Burns at UFC Fight Night Las Vegas. Edwards was originally set to fight Woodley at UFC London before that card was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Burns ended up getting the fight against Woodley two months later and made the most of his opportunity when he won a lopsided unanimous decision over the former UFC welterweight champion.

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones says he would make more money in a potential boxing match than in his next three UFC fights combined. Jones and UFC president Dana White have been jawing at each other in interviews and on social media as of late after a potential superfight with Francis Ngannou fell apart due to financial issues. White accused Jones of asking for an “obscene” amount of money to make the Ngannou fight happen, to which Jones said that White was “lying” to him and the fans about. Jones even asked for his release from the UFC because he was so upset with White’s comments.

In the wake of the abrupt retirement by Henry Cejudo and subsequent vacancy of his belt, UFC president Dana White confirmed this week that the next bantamweight title fight will feature Yan against Aldo. The fight has no confirmed date or location yet but it is rumored to take place at Fight Island this summer.

He then claimed Dana White was lying about how much he was asking for.

The pair were scheduled to fight in the main event of UFC London on March 21, but the card fell through due to travel restrictions associated with the coronavirus pandemic. Woodley was later matched up with Gilbert Burns, who he’ll fight tomorrow night.
