Gilbert Burns has issued a statement following his UFC 299 third-round knockout loss to Jack Della Maddalena. Burns was taking on the up-and-comer in his first fight since losing a decision to Belal Muhammad last May. The Brazilian had success early on as he was able to land some good strikes, but controlled Della Maddalena.
