He is 19-0 overall, and a strong 9-0 in the Octagon. Highlights of his run in the UFC include wins over top contenders like Dan Ige, Diego Lopes, Arnold Allen, and most recently, former bantamweight champ Aljamain Sterling.

For the longest time now, Movsar Evloev has been a top contender in the featherweight division. While he may not be the flashiest fighter in the world, he doesn’t need to be. He has been able to grind out wins over a series of top fighters, including the likes of Aljamain Sterling and Arnold Allen. Unfortunately, it hasn’t quite been enough to convince the promotion that he deserves a crack at the title.

Volkanovski silenced the doubters who thought he’d be on the receiving end of a third straight knockout loss. He defeated Diego Lopes via unanimous decision on April 12 to become a two-time UFC featherweight titleholder. The title victory comes after Volkanovski suffered back-to-back finishing losses against Islam Makhachev and Ilia Topuria.

Volkanovski became a two-time UFC featherweight titleholder when he defeated Diego Lopes this past Saturday night. The bout headlined UFC 314 in Miami. Ilia Topuria vacated the 145-pound gold, which is why Volkanovski vs. Lopes was contested for the title. Volkanovski regained the featherweight championship via unanimous decision.

Having signed with the promotion when he was a teenager, Aaron Pico struggled a bit upon his debut. The featherweight was 4-3 at one point in his career, with all of his losses coming by way of finish. However, in 2020, Pico turned things around, and he never looked back.

Back for the first time since a unanimous decision victory over Brian Ortega last September, Diego Lopes will meet Alexander Volkanovski. ‘The Great’ will enter UFC 314 riding a two-fight losing streak, last being knocked out by Ilia Topuria last February.

Evloev and Sterling were scheduled to feature on the UFC 307 main card next month before Sterling announced his withdrawal due to injury. As of this writing, the UFC hasn’t named a potential replacement opponent for Evloev.
