Jack Hermansson didn’t expect Khamzat Chimaev to be so strong. Back in November, Hermansson and Chimaev had a freestyle wrestling match which ‘Borz’ won. The two have trained together in the past and even though Hermansson fights a weight class higher, he says his fellow Swede was just as big and strong as him.

As of this writing, the Ultimate Fighting Championship appears to be targeting a showdown between Khazmat Chimaev and Gilbert Burns for UFC 273. The meeting between these two top welterweights, in the eyes of many, could serve as a de-facto number one contender fight – especially if Chimaev is able to win convincingly and keep his magnificent start in the UFC going.

It seems that he’s finally going to get it. ‘Borz’ has recently been calling out seemingly anyone and everyone for a fight. Khamzat is currently training at the highly acclaimed Tiger Muay Thai gym in Phuket, Thailand. ‘Borz’ is rising up in the ranks of the UFC and as word has is it, is one of Dana White’s favorite fighters.

While there’s no official date or event attached to the rematch just yet, many fans are grateful to see that “Rocky” is finally being rewarded for his 10-fight unbeaten streak with the promotion.

Burns and Chimaev have been going back-and-forth with one another on social media and they had verbally agreed to fight one another on Twitter. Now, on Monday, Burns took to social media to once again call out the Swede and mentions he wants the bout to serve as a Fight Night main event in Brazil.

Chimaev (10-0 MMA), who recently agreed to an April 9th showdown with former UFC welterweight title challenger Gilbert Burns (see more on that here), was in attendance at a local MMA event in his native Sweden this past weekend.
