Colby Covington is hoping to settle his differences with Jorge Masvidal following his departure from American Top Team. Covington recently confirmed he left ATT after having feuds with several fighters. Masvidal, meanwhile, says “Chaos” was cancer in the gym and the former interim welterweight champion was actually fired from ATT.

Jorge Masvidal revealed Colby Covington wasn’t the only person who was recently ‘fired’ from American Top Team. Covington was recently removed from the ATT website and then confirmed he has left his longtime gym. But, according to “Gamebred” he says Covington was fired along with strength and conditioning Phil Daru.

Colby Covington recently announced his departure from American Top Team and has now proceeded to unload on a number of his previous teammates. Shortly after his name was removed from ATT’s official website, Covington revealed to The Score MMA that he was no longer a member of the gym.

UFC welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal has claimed that Kamaru Usman didn’t sign their bout agreement for a title fight later this year. Masvidal is widely considered to be the number one contender for the UFC Welterweight Championship after an insane 3-0 run in 2019 with wins over Darren Till, Ben Askren and Nate Diaz.

UFC welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal says he could fight Nate Diaz at UFC 251 if Kamaru Usman won’t agree to terms on a title fight. After Masvidal defeated Diaz via TKO at UFC 244 last November, it was assumed that he would be next in line to fight Usman for the title. However, Masvidal hasn’t fought in nearly six months now as the UFC has struggled to come together on the financial terms of the Usman fight. According to Masvidal in a new interview with ESPNs’ Ariel Helwani, he said Usman is asking the UFC for too much money, putting a potential fight at risk.

Jorge Masvidal’s manager, Abraham Kawa makes it clear his client is not ducking anyone. It was expected Jorge Masvidal would fight Kamaru Usman for the welterweight title this summer. The two have been going back-and-forth in interviews and had a scuffle at Radio Row during Super Bowl week. Yet, it has been reported negotiations have not gone well and “Gamebred” has turned his attention to the BMF title rematch with Nate Diaz.

UFC welterweight stars Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz continued to trade shots ahead of a potential rematch between the bitter rivals. Masvidal and Diaz met back at UFC 244 in November 2019, and the fight ended in controversial fashion as the cageside doctor stopped the fight due to cuts, resulting in a TKO win over Masvidal. The stoppage was called into question by several MMA veterans including long-time referee Big John McCarthy, and because of the controversy there has always been the chance the UFC could run a rematch between the two.

Both Jones and Diaz reacted negatively to McGregor’s assessment of the current MMA GOAT landscape. ‘Bones’ took the opportunity to remind the Irishman that he is no longer a UFC champion and thus had no right to be ranked above him in the standings.

Jorge Masvidal has slammed Kamaru Usman by claiming he has multiple personalities in a scathing video. The sport of MMA features many outspoken personalities and trash-talking. Fighters such as Henry Cejudo and Colby Covington have been criticized for intentionally playing up to the camera and changing their personality to gain notoriety. The “BMF” winner and rising welterweight star, Masvidal has been very critical of fighters’ media behavior. He previously called out Covington for putting on a performance despite being the “most sensitive guy in the UFC.” He also accused his former opponent Ben Askren of playing up to the camera. Now, “Gamebred” is calling out Kamaru Usman for the same behavior.

Jorge Masvidal may have found a new friend in his former foe, Ben Askren. On Twitter, the “BMF” winner asked his former opponent to join his “creative department”, to which “Funky” responded. In recent months, Masvidal has been targetting the welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. The fighters are expected to collide in the Octagon soon. For the meantime, “Gamebred” has used his time to mock the champion and even accuse him of having “multiple personalities”. This week, he posted a video of Usman that shows “The Nigerian Nightmare” contradicting himself and previously praising the BMF champion.

Kamaru Usman has a motive for fighting Jorge Masvidal in a closed arena at UFC 249, and that is to make him “squeal like a pig.” According to UFC president Dana White, UFC 249 on April 18 will take place despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Khabib Nurmagomedov was expected to fight Tony Ferguson in the main event, but due to travel restrictions, Nurmagomedov is currently stuck in Russia and will likely not fight.

Masvidal, though, believes that he didn’t break the rule because he doesn’t consider Covington a fighter.
