Bellator heavyweight champion Ryan Bader shared his thoughts on Jon Jones’ recent arrest, suggesting Jones’ legal issues are “a habit.” Jones was arrested last month in Las Vegas after reportedly putting his hands on his fiancee, Jessie Moses, and also damaging a police vehicle. This is far from the first time that Jones has gotten in trouble with the law, though it’s the first time he has been accused of domestic violence. Jones’ arrest sent shockwaves through the MMA community and everyone seems to have an opinion about it. One of those fighters who has an opinion is Jones’ former UFC rival, Bader. The two were at one point the top two light heavyweight prospects in the UFC, but Jones submitted Bader a decade ago and became the champ. Jones would go on to become a UFC legend, while Bader became a champ in Bellator.

After Jones was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame for his first fight against Alexander Gustafsson, he was arrested early Friday morning in Las Vegas. He was charged with battery, domestic violence, and injuring and tampering with a vehicle and after the news came public, many wondered if he would fight again. For his last opponent, Dominick Reyes he says he hopes “Bones” gets another fight so he can beat him up again.

Jones was arrested two weeks ago in Las Vegas after his 2013 fight against Alexander Gustafsson was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. Following the HOF ceremony, Jones was arrested on an alleged domestic battery incident that left his fiancée, Jessie Moses, with bumps and bruises on her face, according to hotel security. In addition, Jones was also charged with damaging a police vehicle after reportedly headbutting it. Days after this incident, however, Jones took to his social media to share a video of him and Moses kissing and making up. According to Jones, he and Moses plan on sticking together through the good and the bad. But posting the video has led to him taking shots from his rivals, and Adesanya had no problem taking to his social media to poke fun at Jones for the video.

Sonnen and Jones were former rivals and even fought once in the Octagon, with Jones winning by TKO back in 2013 after the two coached The Ultimate Fighter. Last week, Jones was arrested in Las Vegas on charges of domestic battery and damaging a police vehicle. It has led to calls from some fans and media for the UFC to release Jones from his contract.

UFC legend Jon Jones reportedly pulled his fiancée’s hair and head-butted a cop car during his Las Vegas arrest last week. TMZ Sports has the full details of Jones’ arrest last week. According to TMZ, who cited a Vegas Metro PD arrest report, “cops were called to Caesars Palace around 5:08 AM for a ‘domestic disturbance’ in a hotel room involving a white female who was “bleeding from her nose/mouth” and a ‘black male adult who is a professional MMA fighter.’ When police arrived, they spotted Jon walking near the hotel, where they stopped and detained him. Cops say 34-year-old Jones became ‘irate and smashed his head onto the front hood of the LVMPD patrol vehicle,’ leaving a medium-sized dent, as well as chips in the paint. While handcuffed, police say Jones experienced a wide range of emotions. At one point, cops say he threatened to sue the department for handcuffing him on the biggest night of his life.”

On September 21, 2013, Jones and Gustafsson went five hard rounds in the main event of UFC 165 in what was one of the greatest MMA fights of all time. Up until that point, no one had given any problems to Jones inside the Octagon, so when Gustafsson took down Jones in the first round, it was quite the shock. The two bitter rivals went toe-to-toe for 25 minutes, with Jones ultimately earning a hard-fought unanimous decision victory.
